Tigmanshu Dhulia and Irrfan Khan do it again
3 March 2012
The pair has given us the unforgettable "Haasil" and they are back again with "Paan Singh Tomar".

The movie has an excellent script, very well supported by the actors and their performances. Irrfan khan does an incredibly good job with the character. Mahie Gill has done equally well and she is really growing as an actor.

The script and its originality is the strongest point of the movie. The direction of the movie is also flawless... Tigmanshu Dhulia must be praised for picking up this script and turning into an excellent movie.

Must Watch

Another crap movie in a line of blunders by SRK
23 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Well let me be frank, we all knew this movie is going be another crap/cheesy affair with more marketing than content, but just how bad is it?

To start with there is no reason for the sequel except for the fact that the remake of DON was commercially successful. The plot of the movie is all too predictable with no meaningful content or any surprises. The characters are all out of this world and they don't speak human language. Don is a blend of Jason Bourne + Ethan hunt + James bond + he speaks Hindi/Urdu.

The movie is not even glamorous as SRK is looking visibly old and Priyanka tries her best to look slim. The performance of both SRK and Priyanka is horrendous. All in all a wasteful movie but it will be a commercial success, Why? People of sub continent don't have much to do, except to go to movie theatres on weekends. People tired with their back-end office jobs and a struggle to be rich in this competitive society, will find the only refuge from their daily/boring lives in one of the glassy cinema halls in one of the malls.

A Scene to Scene copy of Woody Allen's "Husband and Wives"
3 December 2011
I watched this movie in 2010 and had decent opinion about the movie. Recently I saw "Husband and Wives" and was completely shocked to see the amount of plagiarism. The movie is literally copied scene to scene, even the professions of protagonists are not changed.

I won't the say the movie is bad, but some of the performances really stink. Rahul Bose maintains his usual crap standards, Payal Rohtagi brings no freshness or life to the character and even other characters have not done justice to the original characters.

Watchable movie if you haven't seen "Husbands and Wives". If you have seen Woody Allen's original then don't bother yourself.

Very original and refreshing....
16 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I think if bollywood has any future of surviving then it is because of movies like Udaan.

The movie is very fresh full with brilliant performances. I think Ronit Roy has given a brilliant performance aptly supported by all the characters in the movie. Thumbs up to the débutant director for coming up with a timeless classic like Udaan.

The movie brilliantly captures life in a small town India. The characters are all very real and the movie feels like a real time capture of someone's life. I would definitely recommend the movie to every cinema lover.

I feel very proud to be an Indian if India is capable of producing such brilliant movies.

One of the most pathetic movies of all time
2 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Of all the movie making industries Bollywood is the one which makes 99% of bullshit movies. I don't know of any other movie making country producing such crap movies at a such consistent pace.

Of all the Crap movies which Bollywood has made this movie stands out on its own. This movie is real senseless and useless movie. The movie captures neither the era of 70s nor the mechanism of Bombay underworld. Ajay Devgan has given a decent performance and Kangana looks good in some scenes. There is absolutely no storyline present in the movie. Randeep Hooda and Emraan Hashmi are at their wasteful best.

The movie is full of crappy dialogues reminiscent of Mithun's "Goonda". The dialogue writer has done the worst job of them all. You actually feel as if you are sitting to watch these cartoons ruin your 3 hours.

I think everybody should miss this movie.

Best adaptation of Macbeth.
15 January 2010
I think this movie is the best adaptation of Macbeth, even WS(or Francis bacon) would be proud to see this movie.

I have watched the Movie "Throne of Blood" by Akira Kurosawa and the movie is brilliant. I think this is a better adaptation although it's not as fast as the former. The sense of Guilt this movie produces is unmatchable and Vishal has done a brilliant job of portraying it.

Irfan Khan, Tabu, Naseerudin Shah and Om Puri have all done a brilliant job in portraying their characters, but one character that stands head and shoulder above the rest is "abba ji" a.k.a "Pankaj Kapur". His voice does seems to be inspired by Marlon Brando of Godfather but he has done justice to the character.
