Great documentary
20 May 2021
What a great documentary! Sure there must be a plot for a great 3-hour documentary as such, but you don't feel like. They did such good job filming the documentary. I watched it with a smile on my face with full empathy: sometimes feeling like one of these lovely students and sometimes one of these great professors. If I have a chance I want to give a big hug to each professor starting from Mr. Bachmann. Those kids are so lucky to have them in their lives and sure will be so thankful to have met them for the rest of their lives.

"what was that movie all about?"
10 October 2012
It was not an horror, drama or comedy; moreover, it was not a good mix of these genres. I could not laugh, could not get scared or felt emotional about anything that is going on in the movie. Mainly, they might want to tell a teenage lesbian story, but they did it in a such a cheap and simple way with very bad cliché dialogue and scenes that you just want to laugh at it. Kylie Minogue plays a small part in the movie, and evidently chosen to make the movie more attractive with her beauty. 23-year-old Juno Temple looks like a early bloomed teenage girl which is also one of the many disturbing and weird things about the movie. At the end of the movie I asked to myself "what was that movie all about?" It's simply a bad movie and waste of time.

Is this a joke?
10 October 2012
"Are you kidding me?" "is this a joke?" these were the questions I asked to writers, producer, director and actors who involved in this movie as well as to the critics who gave high ratings to it. Bad scenario, bad acting (excluding Rachel McAdams). This movie reminded me of the movie Room in Rome which also tried so hard make a terrible scenario to look attractive with girl to girl action. I'm not a movie critic or somebody who can understand from cinematography etc. I'm just a keen movie watcher who watches average of 60 movies a year. According to me this is a terrible movie and feel like this is my responsibility to warn people not to waste their time and movie to watch a beyond mediocre movie.

A movie in the Betamax quality
1 October 2012
This is a Betamax quality movie. If you like history-related movies, this one is just for you! This movie tells history of Chile in Pinochet era from a "creative" perspective. It's always a pleasure to watch Gael Garcia Bernal who played a hero Ernesto Guevara de la Serna in Motorcyle Diaries, in this movie plays another hero: a genius advertiser who is the mastermind behind the NO campaign during Chilean political reform referendum in 1989. Horrible events such as tortures, imprisonment, street riots occurred during the Pinochet era was told, but never in a disturbing way to the audience. Whoever watches the movie may find lot of similarities in his/her countries past or current or future situation, which made the movie more attractive for me. Long after I have left the movie, I continue thinking about it; therefore, this movie is definitely going to be in my collection.

A boring, depressive and non-sense 146-minute-movie
2 April 2011
The catchword for this movie was Nietzsche. As a big fan of Nietzsche I hoped to find a good elaboration of this great philosopher's thoughts in this movie. One sure can find grains of Nietzsche thoughts, but do not go to this movie with my assumption. The director of the movie warned us before the movie started and said "don't applaud my work before it starts, this is my most radical work ever." Yes, the best word for to describe this movie is "radical." I bet this was the most boring, depressive and non-sense 146-minute-movie in the history of cinema. Few people can criticize my thoughts for not being intellectual enough to understand the depth and the beauty of storytelling of this movie, but I would like to save the 99 percent of the movie viewers' time, money and energy. I guess the director of the movie wanted to something in his spare time, but neither the director nor the ones who financially supported the movie and chose to be in the film festivals have the right to torture the viewers and the soul of great philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.

Room in Rome (2010)

Worst movie I have seen for the past 10 years.
26 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
"Room in Rome" is the worst movie I have seen for at least 10 years. Bad script, bad acting, bad dialogs. How Microsoft can be a sponsor of a movie like this?! I went to the movie after reading its synopsis with an expectation to see an independent/art movie. Nevertheless, the movie was more than a disappointment for me. As I mentioned before dialogs are bad. Acting of the Russian female artist and the Italian housekeeping guy is beyond bad. They try "so hard" to use symbols to enrich the movie, but with such a bad script, acting and dialogs even the good music and all this primitive symbolization cannot save the movie.
