Baaghi 3 (2020)

The 3 in Baaghi 3 stands for 3rd Class

The movie is a total failure on all accounts. Bad acting, pathetic characters and stupid action scenes that make absolutely no sense (we all want to see the hero outrun helicopters and tanks, but there has to be an element of intelligence to it!). On top of that, the sound and dubbing are horrible too.

Even with the low expectations that I went into the movie, it still was an extraordinary disappointment. I am being generous giving it 3 stars - just because Tiger Shroff gave it his best in the action scenes.

Good but could have been better

Forgiving plotholes, the film has good storyline and decent twists. Sikander Kher looks most realistic with his Pakistani accent. I wish other actors did that too.

However, narration is too slow for most part and the tension doesn't quite build up like in the similar spy movie Raazi.

Sad political reality, narrated in an interesting way
13 January 2019
As witnessed by Sanjay Baru up close, you will see how the learned Dr. Singh is reduced to a puppet Prime Minster step by step. The movie shows in a very subtle way how the Congress party and its politics revolves around... what else, but the Gandhi family. How decisions are made, how PM's credit is snatched, all to show the Prince charming in good light.

The most controversial dialog of the movie got muted out by censor (but somehow only in voice, not English subtitles), so let this not be considered a spoiler. If Baru is right, Sonia Gandhi says to Dr. Singh, "If *you* broker a peace deal with Pakistan, then what is Rahul supposed to do when he becomes the PM?" Wow. This and so much more shady business going on inside!

Movie is sprinkled with humour throughout. All political look alikes have done a good job, maybe Anupam Kher could have done better. The true charm of the movie without a doubt is Akshay Khanna, who is a delight in every scene.

No horror, no comedy. Avoid at all costs.

Shallow plot. Cliché characters. Totally ungripping story telling. The jokes fall flat. The 'horror' is as if from the 1950's. The film tries to get interesting towards the end but the first half has already killed the happiness in you that you stay interested no more.

Please save your time and money. Trust me, there are many better ways to kill 104 minutes of your life.
