This Is 40 (2012)
waste of 2 hours
No plot, no real humor, just a lot of laughing at themselves for stupid situations.
The most ridiculous movie I've seen in a very long time. Stopped watching halfway through...couldn't stand any more of it.
The kids were so disrespectful and ill-behaved. The parents of the two(so-called) adults were caricatures of grandparents/parents.
Eating food thrown away in the garbage can is extremely disgusting and totally unnecessary to make a movie funny.
It's all about gag humor.
Completely juvenile, over-the-top and unreal.
this is NOT what 40 looks like!
Backyard Wedding (2010)
Backyard catastrophe
I like the actors they have in this movie. I just hate the movie as it was filmed or written or however/whoever created this mess.
I was uncomfortable watching this movie almost from minute 1. Only reason I kept watching was because I generally love Hallmark movies and they're usually good Sunday movies to watch. NOT this one.
I love the guy playing the ex/neighbor. He was the only character I really liked. The rest were snarky, stupid or just boring.
I mean, who says "who'd like to make a toast next? the busboy?" just because an ex says he wants to? That's A STUPID LINE. No creativity in this writing. No real intelligence displayed in this movie. Plain fodder, even plainer writing. Whoever wrote/directed/edited/produced this movie must have an "uncle" or something to help get it made to begin with.
But I still like the actors they snookered into being in this movie. They just made a bad choice in what they wanted to act in.
Criminal Minds: Coda (2011)
seconding thoughts expressed
I thought the show was passable. It was an interesting storyline that used current events to show how circumstances can make even the most normal human a criminal. Good concept...however....
I can't stomach much of it any more since they've made the budget cuts. The biggest impact I've liked is giving Reid more of a voice it seems. The worst is yet to come when/if Prentiss is removed too.
I second thoughts expressed on removing JJ and bringing in a new character who simply isn't that bright, regardless of her history that's supposed to give her some sort of unique perspective. What galls me the most is giving Garcia more air-time by having her pick up the slack left by JJ's absence. I dislike her character intensely, but can bear her as the computer geek. (but her banter with Morgan makes me gag) Now? I'm about ready to stop taping this show since they've chosen to put her so front and center this way.
On Strike for Christmas (2010)
Waste of time
I wouldn't vote 1 (awful) because it had SOME redeeming qualities. Those being that I DO enjoy the actors who were in it (Zuniga, Duffy and especially David Sutcliffe) but the story was so improbable as to verge on the unbelievable. I actually stopped watching 30 mins before the end.
Whoever cast it is not very good at their job. NO WAY would we buy Duffy being Zuniga's MOTHER! Her older sister, sure,,, but MOTHER? Come on! Audiences aren't that stupid.
And I agree with the other poster who said that the family is this story was ridiculous. Two of the most self-absorbed and spoiled teenagers with barely ANY manners. It's no wonder she felt the need to strike to begin with.
It was a good concept gone bad. Whoever was responsible for the production and execution of it is at fault.
