Robin of Sherwood: Robin Hood and the Sorcerer (1984)
Magnificent
This is quite simply one of the best Robin Hood interpretations ever made. I remember enjoying it as a kid, and now that I have it on DVD it's just as enjoyable. It's just a shame that it wouldn't be possible to show such an obviously pagan program in this day and age.
The actors look refreshingly human, and not too hollywood-ised and full of girly make-up. All in all a fantastic fantasy series which is a worthy benchmark to compare other fantasy movies/series against...
Razor Blade Smile (1998)
Excellent
This movie is pure brilliance. Camp, Cheesy and not to serious. When I saw it at the premiere in London, Eileen Daley came on stage and reminded us that this movie was shot for under £20K in three weeks. She also mentioned that it was meant to be camper than a campervan and poked more than a bit of fun at the too serious vampire movies.
And even if one doesn't bear all of that in mind, it's still great :)
It also has one of the best plot twists since The Usual Suspects towards the end.
Deffo 10 out of 10
Braveheart (1995)
Fantastic Movie
This movie is quite simply fantastic. Historical inaccuracies abound, but that's what you get when history is turned into a movie, so just watch it, enjoy it and then go and read a history book about it to find out how things really went.
And I have to admit that I did thoroughly enjoy watching the english forces vanquished :)
Mel Gibson is also managing a surprisingly good scottish accent and is generally believable.
