The Resident (2011)
Unnecessary
22 March 2011
What makes a movie to be "necessary" is a to attend to what is designed for: to entertain, to inform, to whatever is the idea. On the other hand, sometimes we face things like "The Resident". In theory, a nice thriller about a woman scared that someone can be going inside her house. But when it comes to the movie itself, what we can see is a festival of clichés, a writer trying - without success - to fool ourselves for 5 minutes and then releasing the whole story in one scene. And after that, all the scary elements are gone and it all becomes a bloodthirsty silly horror film (with the only advantage of having a good cast). The director seems lazy to explain the story and just throw the information to the spectator. Although with good moments, the movie is all conducted to the most stupid session of screams, blood and obvious moments, with the most pathetic ending.

Skyline (2010)
1/10
Wast of time and money
23 November 2010
"Skyline" basically shows an audience how to throw millions of dollars away. The producers decided to save money in actors, screenwriters and directors to spend everything on special effects. The result is an unbelievable random and nonsense story filled up by a ham cast overacting every scene and making clear that there was an director marking their lines. The movie is a parade of stereotypes, the awful soundtrack lets everything even worst and the love story is so bad that you can't even cheer for the uncharismatic characters. Nothing in the movie has a reason or explanation and it could be written by the any inexperience kid who never watched a movie in his life. Not even the least popular disaster movie could be so ridiculous or without rhyme or reason. With the money, the studio could make at least 5 other blockbusters and spare us of two hours watching something that lead us to one of the most ridiculous endings of the history of cinema.
