Goodnight Mommy (2022)
Completely predictable in the first 5 minutes
I've watched the original and I've just watched the American remake and I don't remember the og being so predictable as this one was.
*****SPOILER*****
All you have to do is look at who's the mom's talking to and you'll notice the plot twist into the first minutes of the movie.
The kids were pretty good throughout the whole thing. They did a good job with what they had. Naomi Watts was weird. Some of her actions felt forced (like screaming with Elias out of nowhere in the kitchen).
There's also some plot wholes that the movie didn't feel like the need to explain. Like why the hell was she peeling off her skin. Anyway... it could've been better.
The Good Place: Live Panel Discussion (2020)
BEST SERIES FINALE I'VE EVER SEEN
I wasn't expecting this episode to be so emotional. So well written and acted. I cried from beginning to end. It ended perfectly with a sad but yet beautiful goodbye. This show will be missed.
6 Underground (2019)
Great action... no story whatsoever
It begins with a 10 minute action scene. You have no clue of what is happening but you're curious either way. They try to explain with really short flashback scenes and it just wasn't interesting. The comedy is forced by every actor in this movie, including Reynolds who is one of the most hilarious actors in the business but was not funny at all in this movie. The action scenes are really cool. The most Michael Bay movie ever. But it looked like a 2 hour meme movie with terrible memes.
Good Boys (2019)
Pure Joy for kids in a R-Rated movie
This movie is hilarious. Jacob Tremblay is amazing and along with his buddies they have great comedy timing. The one thing I would nitpick about is that the movie is too long. It basically has 3 endings.
The King (2019)
Robert Pattinson saved this movie from boredom
The King is really dull but when Pattinson and his unique French accent appears it's like a whole different movie. He does it with joy. You can see he had fun with the character. Too bad it's just for a few minutes.
Death Note (2017)
A psychological thriller turned into a teen drama
I'm a huge fan of the anime but I tried to watch this movie with an open mind. And I've failed.
I'm trying to decide what was the worst part. The fact that a psychological thriller was turned into a teen drama about the cliché boy that thinks with his dick or that they turned one of the best sociopath villains ever made into a coward teenager. Light was supposed to be a manipulative guy and a sociopath. The character don't care about anyone around him not even his family. He makes everyone fear him with just a pen and a notebook. That's brilliant! Is this version he screams, tells awful jokes and tries to nail Mia (Misa) all the time. WTF? This was Nat Wolff's worst performance.
The script and direction are simply horrible. They had the perfect story and tried to make a "Final Destination 7" out of it. It was lame and a shame to see this happen to such an amazing story.
