Kumbalangi Nights (2019)
Story about social structure of right and wrong
Straight to the point, "What makes this story special?" The answer lies in the fact that over the time human's conscience has started questioning the rights and wrongs of our society. There is no absolute right or wrong in our lifetime here. This law is applicable to every scenario we face in this world. The one consistent thing we shall ensure to have a peaceful lifetime is to make sure we embrace love close to our heart. And this idea makes the story special! Director Madhu C Narayanan is largely successful in displaying this thought at the same time incorporating all the good and not so good elements of our society. The story is soft and light hearted while exploring the emotions of every characters but the BGM plays crucial role in evoking the feeling of viewers. Every character has put their heart out while playing their part especially Soubin Shahir with his acting skills has made eyes wet at many instances. Fahad Fasil once again proves his immense talent with character Shammy who is grey shaded but leaves a strong impression. The cinematography, art direction, location selection and BGM have been accurate. The narrative is new and refreshing which takes time for us to get immersed to their lives almost till end of first half but story turns unkind and leaves us guessing what's up next in second half. The strong point of script is all the character's emotions are well connected to their past and secondly the movie is really funny and unpredictable at times. The only weak point of the movie is that at many instance the audibility falls below par and leaves the audience guessing.

Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel (2019)
Good entertainer
A good entertainer which integrates good comedy and an average story. Had scope for big improvements but somehow second half was just average. But with first half being excellent, the movie stands out to be good entertainer. Dileep plays the role easily. Aju varghese and Suraj plays their part efficiently. The stunner is siddique with brilliant comic sense and punch dialogues in first half. Mamta is being sidelined. If you have a lazy weekend, go grab a tub of popcorn and enjoy it. Won't disappoint!
9: Nine (2019)
Nine is a good movie for an average Indian moviegoer and brilliant for few!
What do you expect in a movie differs from person to person and when it comes to Indian cinema, we have a lot of varieties of movie from the masala type with big star cast which has strong comedy, action etc. to strong emotional ones with good story. Ok, in short the point is the movie has to be relatable to our audiences. But now the question is does Indian movies cater needs of all its viewers? The answer is lately "NO".
The clear answer for above question lies in our increasing addiction for foreign movies and as per statistics the online platform Netflix is gaining Indian audience. The "NO" is because we have very little movie which makes us think once we step out of that hall. The so called movie with brain. Oh, yes, every movie has a heart because of the hard work of innumerable number of people behind and in it but to have a brain is altogether a different league. When I stepped out of that hall after watching Jenuse's "9", the first feeling was the brain part of that movie. This is a classic one from Jenuse & Pritviraj team. We cry for a Martin Scorsese movie such as Shutter Island or a Guy Ritchie's Revolver or the very famous Nolan's Inception and when we get one, we simply ignore and shame it just because we are not good enough to understand it. "9" is a well-crafted, well-written & a clear movie which makes us think. The beauty with "9" is every genre moviegoers can watch and enjoy the movie the way they like it because you don't get to see such a movie often. It is a must watch movie for everyone. Rating: 4.5/5. Keep improving it @ Jenuse & Prithviraj!
P.S. @News18Movies & @gautamanb. Oh, yea, Zero is Sci-Fi Movie to you, we get your standard. LOL. And review is not my thing but had to put one here after reading @News18Movies 's stupid review.
