WOW!
4 April 2024
This was a great story. I didn't know what to expect and I was more than pleased. Teyana Taylor did an excellent job! This movie took be back to 90's NY. The hair, clothing...everything was on the point. The actor who plaed her son was also great. It is definitely a tear-jerker of a movie. That being sad, there were many moments that made you smile. I was totally caught off guard by the twist. I am shocked that I haven't heard more about this movie.

With the exception of Teyana Taylor, I am not familiar with the other actors in the cast. Everyone did a phenomenal job. I wish I were in the industry and able to promote this movie more. I'll definitely share it on my social media pages. This is a must see for those who enjoy a solid drama. This is a sit down and pay attention type movie.

BILLY PORTER!
17 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Billy Porter made this episode. He was great until the very end. Amzaing to see how his career has sky-rockted. This episode highlights how Benson ALWAYS takes the "victims" side before confirming if they are in fact a victim. They literally ruined this man's life.

Power Book II: Ghost (2020–2024)
Meh!
10 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I watched every episode and I must say, it got better towards the end. I am a true "Power" fan. I can't for the life of me understand how you would get rid of the GREAT characters and leave us with folks like Stacks (who should have been killed in "Power"). The two professors are absolutely HORRIBLE! Their storyline makes no sense and bring nothing to show. If anything, keep the guy professor and make his storyline about trying to use Tariq for his book. Instead, he dislikes Tariq for no real reason, he comes of as a stalker when it comes to the female professor. The female professor sleeping with the student basketball player is stupid. Especially since she gave the other professor shytt for doing the same thing. The unecessary sex scenes added absolutely nothing. And what professor in their right mind where's a dress with slits up to the crotch and cut outs in the waist to work??????

I love Monet and her family's storyline. That was a good addition. The best part of this show was the return of Tommy!

A lot of sybolism
5 June 2020
I get where the write was trying to go, but it didn't always click. I think a tighter script and more development would have helped. The parallels to slavery were almost so subtle it gets lost. I knew where the writer was "going" because of my knowledge of history but I am sure it will be lost on a lot of viewers. The actor who played "Peter" did an excellent job.

I'd love to see this movie produced, directed and maybe re-written by a Spike Lee or Jordan Peele. It has the potential to be a great movie.

The Practice (1997–2004)
Great Show
4 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This was a great show until they booted off most of the original cast. The storylines were great as well. Well except the numerous times someone was after Lindsey. I must say, I can't stand Lara Flynn Boyle's character. She is annoying as hell and just angry.

Very much enjoying watching this show again in reruns.

Grey's Anatomy (2005– )
Used to be good
12 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
For those who have an issue with bi-racial Maggie, not all bi-racial children "look" bi-racial. Oh how clueless we are when it comes to race/ethnicity. Grey's is too much of a soap opera and it has been for awhile. I have no issue with the LGBTQ community being portrayed but it seems to be soo EXTRA over the past few seasons. The two gay male doctors are soo unbelievable. I dont buy that relationship at all. Why couldn't the Chief and Mama Avery have a normal relationship?? This show can't seem to have one normal, healthy relationship. The Alex Karev ending was HORRIBLE! He was one of gthe best characters. His wife was annoying as hell, but I don't believe for one bit Karev would have left her in that manner. And why oh why as everyone on this show related in some way shape or form.

Mixed-ish (2019–2021)
Such a cute show
7 November 2019
First of all, on Black-ish, Bow's mother is a light-skinned black woman and her father is white. They have always joked on Black-ish that Bow didn't have to change her last name because both had the last name "Johnson."

For folks who are tired of the "race" narrative....well duh...the show is about a mixed-family. How do you NOT address racial issues? The grandfather is hilarious and so is Santamonica. I enjoy the show. There are a few inconsistencies with time-frames but a cute and funny show.

Solid Show
21 February 2019
This is a very good show that is rooted in the Black Dahlia case. I love how they are bringing in the idea that George Hodel may have had ties to the occult. If you research him, you will find his connections to various occultists.

For those saying there was no segregation in NV, you are correct. However, they are not depicting "legal segregation." They show how even in NY/CA, people "segregated" themselves when it came to communities, who they socialized with, etc. So this may not take place in the south, but racism existed in still exists everywhere. Also, they also saw how all different people also came together when they showed the "art scene" in CA. Again, no where did they ever depict legal segregation so those of you who keep saying that are WRONG!

All in all, great show.

Grown-ish (2018–2024)
REAL, REAL REAL
13 March 2018
I grew up in the era of The Cosby Show and A Different World. This is NOT "A Different World." This is a show for young adults, not young kids. It doesn't hide the fact the drugs, promiscuity and binge drinking is rampant on college campus. It shows what happens when your precious darlings, who you think can do no wrong, do. I don't laugh out loud but I love the characters and how they deal with what college kids are facing today...truthfully, what they have been facing for the past 30 years minus social media.
