See Arnold Run (2005)
Sergio Oliva
This movie is such propaganda and a deliberate re-write of the history of Arnold and his past defeats and victories. The very fact that they could have made this movie without the mention or inclusion of Arnold's greatest competition Sergio Oliva, is proof that they wanted to elevate Arnold to a position of which he was not worthy in historical rankings.
It would be like making a movie about boxer Muhammad Ali, and never mentioning or showing a portrayal of George Foremen! I am aware that the movie isn't about Sergio Oliva, however, Sergio was so much of a force in Arnold's life and his most celebrated victories, that Sergio's omission here is as noticeable as a movie about the life of The Beatles, in which they leave out 3 of the Beatles!
Such an injustice. And Arnold and his family had political and artistic control over this movie. It is no wonder why Arnold excelled in politics. It takes a calculating individual who's morals and ethics have no boundaries, to rise to the top of this worlds most corrupt occupation.
Half of this country does not believe that President Obama is worthy of being President of this country. Yet, we had a man, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who became Governor, and can't even pronounce the name of the state! And and American people fell for it. So, See Arnold Run, and See America Ruined! WarGames: The Dead Code (2008)
Horrible Sequel
War Games: The Dead Code (2008) If you attempt to watch this movie, you will learn immediately why Mathew Broderick opted out of having any role in this sorrowful sequel. The first 20 mins is all it will take to have you dozing off at this movies dumb plot and absolutely amateurish acting. I could have written this movie and done a terrific job. What they did here is criminal. When War Games was made in the 80's, we didn't even have the pc tech that we have now, or should I say, not as advanced. So one would think that in this age, they could have really come up with a very good premise and engaging story.
This is a case of someone who has money and decided to Produce a sequel to War Games, based purely on the fact that they could afford to do it. The people who are leaving positive reviews here about this movie, are more than likely members of the production team and the funding crew. Maybe even some of the friends and family of the actors. No one with any sense can honestly say anything good about this movie.
I am not talking opinion here. This is possibly the one Universal Truism in the history of the world, War Games: The Dead Code (2008)has nothing to offer a viewing audience. Any of you die hards who just have to see for yourself will be so sorry you wasted your time. I am writing so harsh on this because the first War Games awakened dialog in our society about Nuclear War and this movie was just someones ego trip and an attempt to line their pocket. They figured that if twenty million of us tuned in, they would make a hefty profit. That is just pure greed, and the type of reckless greed that is killing true creativity in show business. You have been warned! Malik Jubal
Pimp Snooky (2000)
Pimp Snooky
Pimp Snooky by Bruce Hollis
The movie Pimp Snooky, written with the Pimp Pen Polish of Superfly, The Mack, and Willie Dynamite, definitely transports the viewers along an unrighteous railway, aboard the train of temptation. It is a look into the Jekyll and Hyde metamorphosis of a mannish-boy, overdosed on the thuggish, ghetto power of man-whoring. Pimp Snooky(Derek Avery), reigns over his street sirens with the constant threat of violence, the worst of which, is seen in his piercing soulless eyes.
This movie is also a Girls in The Hood field trip to grandmothers house, with Pimp Snooky as the big bad wolf, who devours their womanhood along the journey. The movie Pimp Snooky, is painful to watch and even more disturbing are the horrors that we imagine, as nervous compassion builds inside of us. This movie reminds us of just how cruel the streets of colored town in any city can be, and of the icy, demonic Imps who set he temperature there.
This is not a cliché, clownish characterization of the Pimps of 70's movies and television shows. Pimp Snooky is a darkly dramatized film. The supporting characters Tina Dawkins, Shamika Evans, Takela Rogers, Tisa Salinas, all give first rate performances. Their portrayals of these doomed damsel's are executed with a sort of hopeless humanness. And although we know that lives like these can't possibly have a happy ending, these fine actresses proudly pose them under a spotlight of pride.
Yet, it is Derek Avery's performance as Pimp Snooky that is ground breaking and ungodly euphoric! We hate the character of Pimp Snooky which Avery portrays, yet we are astonished by his striking screen persona.
Idris Elba(The Wire, Daddy's Little Girls) is set to portray Pimp Snooky in Writer, Producer, Malik Jubal's 2011 release "Let Me Pimp or Let Me Die." And with an impressive supporting cast of Oprah Winfrey as Snooky's mother Pearl Marjhani, Tisha Cambell(Martin, My Wife and Kids), Janet Jackson(Poetic Justice, Why Did I Get Married), the movie threatens to be a formidable offering. by Bruce Hollis
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
The Sexiest Money Alive
A movie is good when there are parts of it that you desire to see over again. There must be touching moments, funny moments, action, deep thoughtful scenes or just plain ole lump in the throat cinematography. Iron Man had many scenes of action, dialogue, and informative set-up as to who and how Iron Man came to be.
Wolverine-Xmen Origins shined in the first 20 minutes, particularly with the montage of world wars Wolverine fought in. Also, the elite team of mutants that Wolverine fought with during the movies first half hour were a better story line and plot, as opposed to where they eventually segued with the script. I would have rather seen Wolverine and his X-Patriots take on rival and relevant comic-book favorites, than to have them formulaicly turn on each other.
It was a modern day Cain and Able! Wolverine and Saber-tooth, battling over who has the best looking press-on nails in scene after scene of scratching and clawing which left us scratching our heads in the end. These Battling Blade Brother's feud never made much sense to the audience and the origin of their Ginsu gripe with each other became so shuffled that even Gambit couldn't deal with it! Hugh Jackman(Wolverine) was voted one of the Sexiest Men Alive, and I have to suspect that the Marvel Movie Machine knew just where to oil and lubricate the screeching lust of female fans, making their gears and pulleys turn for this Box Office Boytoy.
It is fine to have a great looking star in a movie, but in days of old, handsome leading men, accompanied a leading script. And please keep in mind that a good script, a good premise and care for telling a good story is what the audience desires more than anything. Tony Soprano(James Gandolfini) wasn't trim and muscled, yet his character and the story was so well developed that we loved the ride.
There are movies that we can watch over and over again: Goodfellows, Ironman, Scarface, Godfather, Back To The Future, etc....because they are filled with memorable moments that we like to see and hear.I can look at Iron over and over again. I would not care to sit through Wolverine: Xmen Origins again.
Here is my message to the folks at Marvel and the studios and Producers. Make us a memorable movie Marvel! Wolverine: Xmen Origins is nothing more than the capitalization and commercialization of a The Sexiest Man Alive! It is a disappointment to movie goers who pay to see big screen dialogue, scenery, scripts, action and an engaging story.
Just from the long anticipated debut of this movie, you will make plenty at the Box Office, and I suspect that that is all you really aimed for. You have our money, now give us a movie! Malik Jubal
