One Piece Film: Red (2022)

Meaningless CGIFest

Luffy doesn't say "Gomu gomu no.." even once. The story is pathetic. Uta is so unappealing as a character. The songs sound like they have been made up in 10 minutes each. The CGI is god awful. The dialogue is so fast paced and not memorable. The fighting is unacceptable for One Piece standards. Same formula from the Stampede movie is used: Bring all the characters in one island and give all of them their signature one liners.

Don't try to put this garbage into the regular One Piece timeline. Think of it as a fan side-movie that has nothing to do with the story. I really hope they come up with something more creative next time.

5 points for the lighting during the songs. That was a feast to the eye.

I just finished the movie and all i can say is awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. This movie's director must be a genius that uses amateur players this well. When i saw the crying kid(its not a big spoiler) i doubt that if this is a movie or a real story with a hidden cam. I didn't read the novel but if its better then movie, then that will be the ultimate book. I won't tell the main story but know only this. You will never regret that 2 hours. But be warned, watch this movie extremely carefully from the beginning to the end, because the names can be mixed because they are talking in Portuguese i think, and they are telling the names very differently. Names are a whole another story. So you have to watch this movie without giving any break. My last word again is, awesome.
