French Kiss (1995)
Beautiful, simply beautiful
I just watched this and fell in love! Everything about it was entrancing! Superb acting, fantastic scenery, and you have got to love that soundtrack! I absolutely love Kevin Kline, and he nailed it again in French Kiss. Can I help it if I like him as a French man? Meg Ryan was astoundingly funny. Comedic performances were perfect and the romantic side was so sweet it will break your heart! If you get the chance to see this, whether it be on TV or whatever, watch it. It will make you laugh out incredibly loud (ahem, like me) and cry at its ending (again, like me). I give this a 10 out of 10. But, then again, that is just me. You'll have to check this out to be the judge of that yourself.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the best movie I've ever seen. No joke. Best of the three movies. It gave you every emotion you can think of it was that good. The battles were terrific and the story of Frodo and Sam was amazing. Luckily, the movie was 3 hours and 30 minutes, so you have a long while to enjoy it. I wish I could go back.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
Funnier than I ever would've thought it could've been!
This movie was one of the greatest, cutest, and funniest pirate movies I have seen. The cast was great. Johnny Depp was hysterical. I was cracking up just by the way he walked. Orlando Bloom was great at the hero who denies his true nature. Keira Knightley was pretty funny too, especially when she started really chowing down. Geoffrey Rush was downright creepy. The special effects was awesome. I loved when the pirates transitioned into zombies. The costumes were perfect. All great choices made by Jerry Bruckheimer and the director.
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Once Again: Awesome
Tim Burton strikes again in this beautiful fairy tale about Edward, a man with scissors for hands. This is the second Tim Burton movie I've seen, and this one is just as good as the other one. He is great at showing the emotions of the characters in this film. It'll go from funny to sad to another emotion so smoothly. Johnny Depp is great at this character. He brings the sweetness to Edward. He also shows how hard it is for Edward to survive with scissor hands.Again, good facial emotion. Winona Rider was good at showing the change in feelings she feels towards Edward. Danny Elfman also brings the perfect musical score to set the mood. The only thing I did not like about the movie was the pastel colors of the town. They were ugly!! But, all in all, go see this movie. It brings out the person in you that has always wanted to fit in a certain way but couldn't.
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
Best Movie I've Seen
One word for this Tim Burton movie: WOW! The movie was awesome in all aspects. The cast was great, especially Johnny Depp by bringing humor and those spectacular disgusted faces to the film. Burton has outdone himself with the thrills and chills but also the dry humor. The music by Elfman always sets the mood perfectly. I read the story by Washington Irving, and all I can say is, do NOT expect it to be like the story. Burton has given it a dark and harrowing twist that greatly satisfies. If you haven't seen this movie, go out and see it. I almost missed out on the movie that was to become my all time favorite.
