Great Series! But Read The Book too!

I thought this was really well done. I do wish there were a few more details from the book added. I think some would have added impact as well as some clarity to a few issues. The action scenes and suspense were great. Even though I read the book, couldn't wait to get to the next episode.

Reece was played very well. Pratt, Kitsch & Wu were cast superbly. JD Pardo as a Fed was a twist for me as I'd only seen him in a couple things. He plays that line well 'good cop-but I get it'. Tyner Rushing brought a lot of cohesive moments.

Highly recommend reading Carr's book. Much more detail and worth the read. Can't wait for the series for the next book, I'm only half way through the book and can easily see Pratt leading us forward.

Great start to hopefully a building story with many more seasons. Detailed slow build. Really good. Michael Chiklis, Juan Pablo Raba have a great dynamic.

Love Tony Bennett. One of the greats of all time. Lady Gaga has a great voice, first I've seen her like this. Wish her "moves" were a little more refined like Liza & some of the beautiful truly classy ladies of the sale era as Tony Bennett.

Miss the class of the past.

Chicago Fire (2012– )

Downer Drama now

This show started out great. Great action, firehouse banter & pranks, with drama mixed in. By season 4 the writers have taken the drama too far. It's a downer crisis every single episode. Nobody is happy at thus point, about anything. All the personal drama and crossovers and negativity I'm surprised these actors make it through the day. Sad use of great characters. Get the writers away from TV reality news and get this show back to the mix of banter & firefighting.

Still missing Alvin

Alvin leaving was a big mistake. This is a great show. Alvin could return from a federal undercover job that he was needed for. Death a set-up. Plus Tracy just doesn't fit in with the rest of the cast.
