Read the book

I watched it reluctantly having studied the book with my class. The book should be a classic, a 'modern fable' with a message we must all heed. The main character in the book is a boy. That mother-son relationship was secondary only the environmental message. Shame they changed this. The film is built around flashbacks which the book does not have. I don't mind this but it results in losing that sense of building the relationship between the mother and the child. The language in the book is jammed pack full of evocative imagery. Watch the film for the message and the stunning cinematography but READ THE BOOK.

Powerful stuff

Whoa! I think this is what the word powerful and hard-hitting is truly made for. A traumatic journey that is made all the more emotional by is being inspired by a true story. It doesn't hold back and it doesn't sugar coat the journey. Awesome acting by all especially the two main characters. Beyond words.

Enjoyable Aussie drama

Great characters (some who've gone on to much bigger roles in the US) and engaging storylines.

I have enjoyed this series, especially the dynamics of the two paramedics. It has enough spirit to keep you watching and characters that viewers can care about.

Series 3

Coming from a generation that wore out my VHS copy of the original Lethal Weapon, I was shocked when they killed off Riggs - he IS the lethal weapon! I liked the humour and the chemistry between the characters in the series after being persuaded it was worth a watch. First episode of series 3 watched and, although, it clearly isn't Lethal Weapon anymore, it was still full of spirit and fun. Will persevere.
