Happiness for Beginners (2023)
I can't even.
I will genuinely never get those two hours of my life back. I am more confused, befuddled, bewildered, and stammering than I have been in my entire existence. However, I don't regret it for some unbelievable reason, probably because it was free. However, next time, just don't. Randomness to the max, confusing half plot-lines,. Unanswered leads, and genuinely zero chemistry. The best part about this movie was Jenna's commentary (my cousin, she has some wine in her). Half the time they were legitimately walking on paved path through the wood that looked like they were about 100 feet from a parking lot. Respect the fact that this is a light, and pithy "romance" but this was genuinely lacking any kind of realism in even the smallest amount. Go watch it, it won't bite, but it won't serve in anyway either.
Jared from Subway: Catching a Monster (2023)
Not everyone who was bullied ends up a pedophile.
Didn't make it 5 minutes. Starts with minor testimonies from the victims to draw in the interest. Quickly pivots to childhood peers speaking of bullying and social suicide.
People telling sad stories about an overweight teenager who was bullied. Not everyone who was bullied is a pedophile.
The story will most likely get into the deepest and darkest parts of this "human being", yet, they are trying to garner sympathy in the beginning by pointing out his difficulties.
I'm sure it's a damn good story, I like creepy ass documentaries as much as the next basic white check. However, I don't want to hear about how a pedophile didn't enough attention in High School.
Bull: The Woman in 8D (2016)
Love the show but this episode sucked
Love this show but come on with this episode! Spend the entire time trying to disprove gender bias, yet there's a scene where she's taking her shirt off? When she proves to be strong-willed, Bull scoffs "women" under his breath?
The irony is amazing.
