With a passion for the movie and music industry, Gabriel began writing weekly emails within the agency with his “cool and hot” recommendations. These emails soon went viral among friends and clients. It was then that Gabriel received a call from the fashion editor at Marie Claire telling him he should start a blog and pursue writing anything he felt was interesting and intriguing. The blog soon caught the attention of the editors at Vogue and L’Officiel, for which he contributed articles ranging from the earthquake disaster in Haiti to celebrity events like the Costume Institute’s MET Ball in New York.
Gabriel’s career as a model agent eventually brought him to New York City, where he worked for Elite Model Management, before joining Trump Models in January of 2012. It was in New York that Gabriel’s career as a writer took flight.
Gabriel wrote a bi-weekly column for the New York based website Look Books, in which he interviewed models from all over the world. His contributions with the site also extended to profiling artists, reviewing art exhibitions and interviewing iconic talents of the entertainment industry. In 2014 Gabriel completed his first feature screenplay. The young writer worked for two years as a contributor for the news portal The Huffington Post and is currently working on a book.
Gabriel’s website continues to be one of his most cherished idea outlets and houses all of his recent articles from all medias, including pieces for Harper’s Bazaar Thailand,Vogue Brazil and The Peninsula Magazine.
In 2017 Rocha took the entrepreneurial path and opened ANTI management, a talent agency that aimed to be inclusive of all and that came ready to challenge the fashion and modeling industries. Even though the business ultimately did not succeed, Gabriel continues to believe in its core values and carries its flag in everything he still does.

What Happens Later (2023)
I tried
I nearly gave up towards the end, but i was resolute on giving Meg Ryan a shot to win me back all these years later. I am sad to report that that did not happen, all that's left for us is a life of Rom com memories.
In this movie, the estranged couple gets stranded in an airport together for 24 hours and find themselves rehashing the past and finding new ways to fall in love with each other all over again, or perhaps to try and find better meaning to what happened before. David Duchovny definitely feels out of place here, expressionless and flat, while Meg Ryan pulls all her signature moves in order to try to keep our attention, which is a hard thing to do when dialog is interrupted by absurd airport announcer interjection and an obscenely empty airport.
The dialog is actually well written and some of the directing is impressive, especially for a movie that starts with two dancing snowflakes. Don't ask.
At the end of the day this is a movie for an audience that got tired of these types of movies, and this is a movie that wants to be mature and wants to touch on life after life happens, but just can't seem to reach, because it is neither a romantic comedy, or an adult drama, it is trying to be both, and that has never worked.
Next time Meg, pick a lane.
Genie (2023)
True Family Film
This is a laugh out loud film that makes use of all possible cliches and typical plot twists but does it so well that not even for a second it becomes a drag or obvious. Melissa McCarthy is probably in her best comedic form in years and the rest of the cast is splendid. It truly is a feel good movie that can move the heart strings in a time of such cynicism this is truly refreshing. The overall message of kindness and true friendship is beautiful and important, one that many kids should be more and more exposed to, and Bernard's willingness to go as far as it takes to save his family but without ever losing sight of what's right is really impressive. This is a remake that gives the original film a run for its money, and even though it is a holiday movie, I would watch it even in the dead of summer, you won't be disappointed!
Pinocchio (2022)
Oh no, the flaws are too many
Robert Zemeckis is fantastic at his job, and Tom Hanks likes to make movies with Inanimate objects as his co-stars, those are facts. What's also a fact is that both of them are a little heavy handed in this movie that is not even worth the four full stars I gave it.
Pinocchio's story is already pretty far-fetched, a wooden doll has that many misadventures in one day!? They could've modernized that storyline and made it a little more realistic and relatable. The most difficult part to accept is just how corny and forced it all came out. It's not a movie adults will enjoy, but maybe the kids will, maybe.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)
Expect the unexpected
Who best to poke fun at Nick Cage than Nick Cage? With a legendary career that fell into limbo in the last 15 years, the actor has here his opportunity for redemption and return to stardom (and interesting filmmaking).
In this piece, Nick plays Nick, a famous actor who's struggling to keep his career, image, family and finances together. He's at the edge of oblivion as an actor and knows it. Our hero here then receives an offer to make an appearance at a birthday party for a million dollars. This is where things really take off into the realm of absurdity in the best possible way.
The movie leaves no stone unturned, stereotypes and cliches of the industry are all used for this movie packed with action and hilarious turns. It is a great premise that is brilliantly executed and not to be missed.
Luck (2022)
A cute film for the kids
As we grow older our perspective on certain things also evolves. The adult movies I used to watch as a kid now gained new meaning as I watch them from a different perspective, much like animated ones that used to be our jam now will seem a bit, well... Childish. The challenge is to create something that is engaging and just right for both the kids and their parents.
In Luck, our hero is an orphan who lived in the system her entire life and has anything but luck... Or a family. She is however deeply connected to the other kids in her home, so when she decides to intervene to try and send some luck to one of the kids who's up for adoption, madness ensues.
It's a deeply moving story filled with adventure and comedy from beginning to end. The characters are cute and well developed, but I'm afraid that overall this film will not entirely land with the adult audience, or even slightly older kids.
Their take on the world of Luck is sharp and engaging, it is well directed and it will definitely make you feel good. What I remind myself now as an adult is that I must step into these animated films with an open and slightly younger mind, one that allows one to dream and imagine the unimaginable in a world that has become so filled with hard truths.
CODA (2021)
Smart and sweet
To watch this film is to be able to gain better understanding of the life of a population that goes often neglected. Coda is sweet but not in your average sense, it touches upon the human connections that are only possible when we truly realize and accept ourselves. This is the story of a family that has managed to make a good life for themselves in the face of difficulty, and there is no stone left unturned here, those difficulties are all out in the open, just as you would hope. It's truly not about the singing competition, or being deaf, or a love story, or a coming of age flick, it is about all those things coming together to tell the world what it's like to be born into a family in which no matter what difficulty came to pass, you always stuck together. No, this movie will not be for everybody at the surface, but if everybody is patient enough they will find the place where they can connect with it, because this is a movie that has something real to share.
House of Gucci (2021)
But why the accent?
All is good and well with the story, direction, production design, costumes, acting, writing and pretty much everything else in this very interesting movie about the fashion brand we've all come to love and admire. Everything is good and well, except for the extremely abhorrent Italian accent. Did they feel like if the actors just spoke English we would t have enough imagination to understand they are Italians, in a movie that's mostly set in Italy, about an Italian family and an Italian fashion brand? Or did they think that we would think that the Gucci's were Americans who fell off a plane in the middle of Italy? Insulting is a word that comes to mind when I think about what that is, but then again, i can't claim insult for it is not mine to be taken... But if i were Italian, boy oh boy!
Watch this movie with patience, it feels very long, but it is indeed filled with interesting facts about one of the most influential families in fashion.
The Lost City (2022)
The case of the long cameo
The Lost City has all the ingredients that make up a classic Hollywood adventure-comedy film, it hits all the notes at the right times, and is casted to perfection, but perhaps it's only flaw is precisely in just how formulaic it actually is. Fear no further dear reader, to the rescue comes what possibly is the longest cameo in film history: Brad Pitt. Pitt's carachter is perhaps the most interesting and better developed one, stealing scenes and hearts at every heroic glance. One could even argue that this dude even deserves a spin-off of his own. But if a cameo is truly the highlight of an entire film, that's not saying much, is it? Save from the hysterical physical comedy of Sandra Bullock and a few well-oiled jokes, there is not much left for the audience but a few giggles. Still, The Lost City is a pretty exciting and light movie to keep the audiences entertained on a rainy day.
Marry Me (2022)
Say yes to this fun rom-com
J-Lo still has it and the formula works for her like never before in this movie that also fits her life like a glove. They say write about what you know, well it must also go for acting, because J. Lo sure does a convincing job in Marry Me. Owen Wilson is still the same guy we have all grown to love, and the film is supported by fun music, great fashion, and a fantastic supporting cast. It's a rom-com, nothing more and it delivers what it promises a few minutes if family fun!
