Meet My Folks (2002)
Great! Another lousy dating show... or is it.
Normally, I would look away and cringe in agony when I see a dating show on TV, I find them very lame and sappy for my taste. However, Meet My Folks is slightly different. The plot is, 3 men or women go to house to meet a charming mum and an angry Dad to attempt to win a trip to Hawaii with their son or daughter, the 3 become 2, they have a lie detector test, and 2 become 1, the 1 goes to Hawaii with the son/daughter, got that. Ironically this show has more secrets revealed than a Hollywood marriage, for one show I have never seen more blatant secrets revealed in my life. The one thing I don't get are the dates with the victim, why I use victim is simple, the son/daughter is the victim of some of the worse dates ever shown on television, yet he/she enjoys it, of course they don't get of of the house much that's why Mom and Dad had to supply 3 losers for their enjoyment. The best part has to be the lie detector test, although predictably, it really shows (no offense) that most Americans tend to lie, cheat and steal there way to win a date. All in all, something for the family, hey, at least it's better than any other dating show. *** (out of 5)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
A true horror classic.
This film is a classic coming from the mind of Tobe Hooper. The film crosses the boundaries of what a horror film really is. This film is original, it'll send your mind elsewhere, but most of all, it'll scare the creeps out of you. Gunnar Hansen is superb, his performance as Leatherface is legendary is the whole horror era. This was one the the movies that sent the horror genre sky-high and Tobe Hooper's idea's have constantly been stolen by other directors, even the best of them, have borrowed elements the Tobe Hooper used in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is a true horror classic, it'll shock you, it'll scare you, it'll blow your mind all from the mastermind of Tobe Hooper. We salute you Tobe for bringing us one heck of a classic.
Bride of Chucky (1998)
Funny as heck!
This is a good film for die-hard Chucky fans. Okay I'm sure it's not as good as what the Child's Play movie were like, but this can get really funny and enjoyable, Chucky's laughs are hilarious.
(SPOILERS)
Now not one doll, but two, meaning double the impact, Jennifer Tilly played the part really well and definitely pulled off the best kill of the movie.
If you have seen the Child's Play movies this would be a worthy film on your Chucky collection, but if you've never seen the Child's play movies before, this'll will be a new start. Of course you'll not have a clue on how Chucky got into his current state (cause I'm not telling you) but you'll figure out why Chucky is very popular.
Overall a very enjoyable movie.
RoboCop 3 (1993)
This Killed RoboCop!!!
This one movie killed the RoboCop era, it was no where near as good as Robocops 1 & 2. I think the newer fans would love it, but as for people who had already seen and loved the first and second, avoid this one. While I enjoyed Peter Weller's role of RoboCop in 1 & 2, Robert Burke in this one, doesn't seem to have any clue what he's doing. Also I don't like the story in it, turning RoboCop into a 'nice' guy, it don't work, we prefer watching RoboCop the way he was in the first one, we're not used to Robo acting 'Mr. Nice Guy'. Avoid this movie at all costs.
