Very interesting and educating episode, which focuses on caffeine history from a global point of view. I appreciated good and simple scientific explanation of the mechanisms of action of caffeine and the cause of caffeine biosynthesis in plants. A good way to get an idea, how people can change the world just to satisfy personal needs, this time for tea and coffee.
IMHO the episode should also include a great deal of other historical events, for example, the Opium Wars, and the lack of such caffeine sources as cacao and chocolate made me pretty sad. (it couldn't be done in such short time, though).
A good visualization of intensive conversations in coffee houses and admirable facial expressions of African slaves.
