DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016–2022)
Season 01, Season 02: Went from Bad to Really Good
10 April 2017
#Season01

The show had potential, then lost it and now it ends with new potential. Still better than #Arrow's Season 04 by a wide margin.

Basically, an entire season where very little happened in terms of the chronological events in the time-line. And very little good was done. The show was slow, filled with cheesy dialogues and a constant splitting of team which led to more trouble for the team.

Then, there was this #AncientEgypt mythology which was the centre for the show. Which caused huge discomfort for the #ComicBook origins. Instead of #Hawkgirl and #Hawkman being aliens who are never in love as in comics and don't get reborn, and instead #VandalSavage being a #Caveman gained #Immortality from #Meteor. It was all the wrong way, which led to a weak character portrayal of #Hawkgirl being the centre and key piece.

In the end, it was relieving to see that the show has distanced themselves from this wrong #Mythology as even the ending episodes had contradicted their earlier established story arcs. But, as the ending was near, the show got good, focusing on wrapping up this wrong path of start and now there is potential once again for #Season02, if there is one.

One of the key gems of the show, was the lush costumes and set designing and visual effects for a TV show, which led to the show being helped in being held on just long enough to establish itself properly.

#Season02

After a very confused and mangled #Season01, the show has risen from the ashes to deliver a very fun, exciting and humor-filled season, that turned out to be the best of the #DC #TVshows on air, even better than #TheFlash.

One of the reasons of its #Success, was simply the use of the best charismatic characters of the #ArrowVerse to deliver a dynamic team of villains that really put a whole other level of #Beat on the show, that the other #DCshows are missing (#excluding #Flash's 1st #Season).

The show maintained a really good balance of Dark characters and the theme of the show, which is that of a cheerful adventure. But the show never forgot that in the end, the story is dark and the stakes are very much fatal for the #Protagonists.

Even the #VisualEffects were pretty good this season, and they had to be, as #ReverseFlash's involvement and his grand scheme demanded them to be. The most memorable things this season, were the blurring of lines between different #Genres in reality, involving the use of #StarWars and #TheHobbit.

Overall, the show was fun and had enough cheesiness in it, to be always being able to deliver #Entertainment, but the show did employ the use of #CommutativeLaw a lot, especially in the end, but it never became too #Goofy. One more amazing thing, was the proper build-up of the story, character arcs and their ends, which only enhanced the story. The most styled character, this show made us realise, was #WhiteCanary, with impressively #Choreographed fight sequences and #BattlePoses, that slayed many #Hearts.

In the end, a very much recommended show, because of a very entertaining season 02.

Emotional, Thrilling and Amazing
29 March 2017
There just MIGHT be no #Anime better than this so far (Except DBZ and Death Note) to provide satisfaction on the same level as this show did.

A show that transcends all norms of story-telling to deliver a story with utmost thrill and of utmost class. Convoluting with aspects of emotions, visual artistry and narrative to leave an ever-lasting impact on the viewer that MIGHT never be satisfied with another anime.

The animation is sharp, crisp and vivid, as well as it is very unique, corresponding to the theme of the story itself. The #Animation is definitely one of the most amazing things about this show and it all comes into focus in the last 10 episodes, where every detail just intensifies the #Climax.

The show definitely has adult content in it, in terms of the story and the plot, but it does not shy away from humor and light- heartedness from time to time. The storyline is very well written, as it flows with ease, while offering up all twists and turns.

One small thing that just doesn't work well with the show are the different Opening and Ending themes that have been used. Just 2 of the opening themes (Again Yui and Rain Sid) and 1 Ending theme (Let It All Out) complement the show, the rest are just annoying.

Absolutely Phenomenal and Tear Jerking
25 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. Once in a while, a movie comes along that leaves you breathless. It is astounding, gut wrenching and highly emotional. Only the 3rd movie ever, which made me cry.

There wasn't a single scene in the movie which doesn't suck you in, the movie has a simple story line, without any frills. Almost every part of the movie is amazing; whether it be the young life of #Saroo and what he's been through or his adult life where the Emotional Fallout of remembering his past is too heavy for him to bear.

**Spoilers Ahead**

One of the questions still lingering are; what kind of a passenger train travels almost almost a 1000 miles with no passengers; what was Nawazuddin Siddiqui's character doing, was he a child labor trafficker or worse; what did Saroo see in Noor's apartment that led to him running away; why were those Indian men grabbing street children.

Over-hyped and all in Vain
22 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It is simply another over-hyped movie but far better than the latter. It could've been good but is completely let down by the last half of the Third Act, which makes the entire movie amount to nothing meaningful.

In essence, it was good for almost the 2 acts, but starts crumbling the 3rd act. As the 3rd phase of Chiron does not have enough resemblance or even make sense because there is a massive leap from second to the third act, making the 3rd act to stand on its own; unlike the Second Act which leaned on the First Act for enhancing the story.

The best aspects being the first two acts; the acting is amazing with great theatricality. A lot can be said, but you really can't describe it, you can only feel it.

Truly worthy of an Oscar Nomination
15 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
One of the best Movies of 2016, with a pair of Protagonists at the center to be cheered on, followed by a Cop vs. Thief type of story. A complex narrative, combined with a stunning cinematography.

The main strength of the Movie are the characters, revolving around a Heist drama that is not only effective, but it is thrilling, engaging. The characters are grounded just right, as they even bring lightness to the movie by involving #Humor once in a while.

The movie does not attempt to create artificial tension in the form of fast cuts or action scenes, but creates tension in the form of #Dialogue and in the form of brilliantly filmed short-action. It's also the difference of dynamics between the characters that make this movie a solid watch. The story is well-paced, as it neither rushes or drags on.

Over-hyped and a let down because of Dialogues
15 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is that type of Movie which won't be everyone's cup of tea. Some will relate to it, some won't and some even after relating to it will never achieve satisfaction with the movie.

The transitioning between past and present is perfect and fluid and only strengthens the story telling. But what makes this an incredibly Boring and Dull movie, is the dialogue, which has no details, is mundane, dull and flat. For a genre being Drama, that should bring down the movie to a really low level for a viewer.

The technical aspects are appropriately executed & extremely grounded and never try to overshadow or take the focus away from its characters. The slow narration is fitting, given its premise, but it will be frustrating. The story might've been great, as it offers truths of life right onto the screen, but overall it will never strive to be better as the ratings expect it to be.

The Exorcist (2016–2018)

Absolutely Wow. Engaging and Emotional
31 December 2016
#Season01

A #TVshow that surprisingly is #Phenomenal, #Awesome, #Thrilling and a must-watch. One of the best TV shows to debut in 2016. The story that started in 1973, more than 40 years later has finally concluded.

The show might not be favored by everyone, since the show does not hold back on the religious wordings during #Exorcism, which is the theme of the show. But all that stuff fades into the background, since so much is going on in those moments, that you just start disregarding them.

The true strength lies in the performances of the cast, the make-up being astonishing and you just gotta love how they try to tie-in emotions into the show, giving the show emotion depth. The only requirements of the show are that you just need to be aware of the #Movie before it and what happened, without any need of seeing it.

All the set up of the main story takes a bit long but the curiosity and how it is let on, keeps one engaged. The #Demonic possession takes a little while to reach full effect but payoffs splendidly to a frightening effect. The show never gets too scary as it doesn't use many jump scares. The violence is there though the most of it occurs off-screen with hints.

The show flows effortlessly as it adopts modern originality and continues on the original plot, with every character appearing on- screen having a part to play on the show. The dialogues and the writing only strengthen the show, followed by twists that will have one shocked and baffled. Since, cliffhangers are really strong.

Worth watching to have a a good thrill
7 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
For a movie based on a single premise for introduction, it delivers massive thrills, excitement and anxiety. The main strength lies in the acting and the environment, that is induced. Stephen Lang stealing the show with his non-verbal work.

One can obviously feel empathy for the Blind Man, but how the story turns that into loathe, is astonishing. Even, a few use of jump- scenes makes it an intense #Thriller with hints of #Horror.

***Spoilers Ahead***

Some #Goofs exist in the story-telling: One, about non-use of home items as weapons or at least using them as projectiles. Second, why not kill the old guy when they had the chance or at least have enough barricades before the man caught on as the 2 tried to escape.

Still, awesome and absolutely worth watching.

One Punch Man (2015– )

An Amazing New ANIME, which originally started out as a Parody
5 November 2016
Season 01: English Dubbed

For a show that has a lot of Elements being influenced from Dragon Ball Universe, and where the main character has a lot of fights ended by just One Punch, it never gets Boring. In fact, there is always a light tone set, combined with a lot of Gore.

As the show progresses, there is more combining of the comedic and seriousness of the story together, and the Writers manage to do that. The aggressive enemies make some of the fights appear to be a long Fight, until One Punch Man destroys in a single strike, here the KOs are accompanied by a bit of comedic timing.

The true Strength of the show lies in Mocking an enemy, as if they were nothing, by making the details look Sublime and the fighting sequences beyond comprehension, mix it with a flavor of humor/comedy and we get a near perfect anime. Eg: Saitama fighting Genos shows why this Anime is amazing

Lights Out (II) (2016)
9/10
In my opinion: SCARIEST Movie of 2016
5 November 2016
I thought that The Conjuring 2 would be the most Horror movie of 2016, it's not, it is Lights Out. It has raised the bar of the movies to unprecedented heights.

For me, it is the Best horror so far because of the use of Intuitive jump scares, engulfed in massive Tension. Life threatening stakes and a constant fear, that is established by a Unique premise.

For a movie spanning only 80 minutes, it does a pretty awesome job of having the characters introduced, as wells as their backgrounds and enough Chemistry between all of them, to work dynamically.

It's a shame that we got so little of the Background of the story and the logic behind it. More work would have been preferred for the death of the Creature and how it all connected.

The cast and their acting is what keeps the Dread alive. The Entity being a wild, scratching thing with Glowing Eyes, was made more sinister by use of spider-like movement. This creature is The Movie's biggest and most terrifying strength.
