Batman...I mean Birdman!
24 April 2015
This has nothing to do with Batman except for the actor, of course. Speaking as a fan of Tim Burton's Batman and as a guy who likes to have an unusual but unique experience in films/TV shows/Books/Videogames, Birdman is now one of my favorite films of all time! It's one of those films where you can't really explain exactly why you love it so much because it has such a unique impact on you that you can't really find the words to describe it. A washed up celebrity who used to play an iconic superhero (kind of like the actor minus the washed up part) is starring in a Broadway adaption of Raymond Carver's book "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love" to show he is more than just formally a superhero and a real actor. But he is having trouble keeping his head straight when things go wrong and he has to fight to keep this play afloat. Michael Keaton has proved to me and everyone that he is more than just Batman, he is a real actor and a damn good one. The cinematography? Oh my god! This has to be the best cinematography I have ever seen in my entire life. I constantly ask myself, "Why didn't they do this in the past?" Emma Stone is pretty good, I still think she did better as Gwen Stacey from the Spider-Man reboots. Edward Norton is such an ass but he is so good at it. Zach Galifianakis? Really? He wasn't great but I don't think he did that bad. Anyway, don't call it by it's full title "Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance" it's much faster and memorable just to call it "Birdman" First he was a ghoul, then he was a Bat, now he is BIRDMAN!

What the hell was that?
4 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what to say about this film. I'm not saying it's bad...I think. But I'm not saying it's good...I think...I don't know! Terry Gilliam said most of us will hate this movie and some of us will love it, and some of us won't know what to think of it. I'm one of those people; I don't know what to think of it. I don't like it but I also don't dislike it...it's very confusing, I know, but that's what's going through my head after watching this. 'Tideland' disturbed me, but not like 'Freddy Got Fingered' did where it was shockingly bad. This is so bizarre, so creepy, so awkward, so uncomfortable...that there is no way to tell you if it's a good movie or a bad movie or a decent movie. First, lets talk about the only thing I know is good like our protagonist, Jeliza-Rose played by Jodelle Ferland. As far as child actors go she's actually pretty damn good. The first time I saw her was on a short lived TV series called 'Kingdom Hostpital' by my hero Stephen King, and she was pretty creepy but also innocent. Then I saw her in 'Silent Hill' where she was, once again, creepy. She did pretty good. Then I saw her in this when I was 14. I didn't know what to think then and nothing has changed when I saw it the second time. Jodelle plays a little girl who, raised by her irresponsible parents, lives in her own little fantasy world. And that's where everything gets awkward and corny. But I honestly think this the most realistic child character I have ever seen but then it goes a little too far with her imagination; she may seem like a kid just stuck in her little fantasy world where she can't tell what's real or what's in her mind, but I think she's completely lost it. She ignores the big things happening in the real world like her dad being dead instead of sleeping or a train blows up and she thinks it's a monster shark that needed to die, completely ignoring the hundreds of people that almost died. She befriends this young guy (who sets up the dynamite to blow up the train) where it gets very uncomfortable later on. There's a scene where he's on top of her and they're both sticking their tongues out at each other in a licking motion. What the f#ck? Was nobody freaked out by that scene? Then, there's this scene where these doll heads are inside Jeff Bridges' belly and one of them is getting a new brain? It comes right out of nowhere and it is only referenced once and then forgotten. Weird. So...yeah this movie is very, very, very bizarre. I get what Gilliam was trying to do but that doesn't make it any better...or worse...you see what it's doing to me? He wanted it to be his own little 'Alice in Wonderlan', an experience. A delusional little's girl's view of the world. But to me, she seems a little more...insane. So this is a little bit different from Gilliam's other works but it kind of reminds me of 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'; a surreal experience. I can't tell you to to avoid it because you won't understand until you've actually seen it. Again, good? Bad? Okay? I don't know. I just don't know. Between you and me, I think this is Jodelle Ferland's cutest yet creepies performance of her life.

Family Guy: Brian & Stewie (2010)
Season 8, Episode 17
10/10
Unexpected and terrific,
28 March 2015
I don't care what anybody says, I love this episode so much; it's one of my personal favorites of all time. I know people complain that it wasn't that funny or it was boring or whatever. Think what you want. It won't stop me from adoring it. 'Brian & Stewie' was a bit out of character of what 'Family Guy' normally does and that may cause some backlash but for me, it was a bold move Seth McFarland did. I love Peter Griffin but the whole 'animated idiot fat drunken father' seems very indistinguishable compared to Homer Simpson. Brian and Stewie stole the show; these guys are the most interesting characters and the most likable. Why? Both a baby and a dog can talk, and act like full grown people. They go on strange quests together, sing together, dance together, fight together--well you get the point. I just love how dark this episode was and not in the crude-humor dark way; dark as in serious. I love when some comedies or satires take a break from the gags and try to illustrate a point from a dramatic standpoint. Brian and Stewie are locked in a bank's vault by accident and have to wait until it opens. And that's all I'll say but I will say that the ending is unexpected and actually tragic, even by 'Family Guy' standards. And I know people say it's so stupid, that it sucked because this is something 'Family Guy' would never do, but that's not the only thing that makes it so good, it's the depth of our characters. And we learn something new about Brian that really makes my day. Don't get too upset with the fact that it's not as funny as you'd expect, look at it from another standpoint and you might enjoy it as much as I did.

Gotham: The Blind Fortune Teller (2015)
Season 1, Episode 16

Why...so...seriously awesome?
16 February 2015
Oh my god, yes! Finally. Things are really looking up. As the trailer shows (so this really shouldn't count as a spoiler, but if IMDb puts me on the blacklist then whatever,) Bruce finally steps into the next level but is still far behind becoming the Batman, Fish Mooney- well, honestly I don't really care for Fish. I mean, Jada is very talented and very pretty but Mooney is not a very impressive villain. The only thing that I like about her is she reminds me of Ertha Kitt as Catwoman. They both share the same level of overthetop evil. And I like the idea that a female crime boss has sort of taken over Gotham for a change. Women are power too, ya know. But honestly, for me, the greatest thing to ever happen in this episode is...wait for it...drum roll, please...even though you can't really hear it...are you ready? The birth of the JOKER! Yes! Joker is finally here. And I am so happy to see him make an appearance on this show instead of being an easter egg. The guy playing him looks like a Joker but it kind of looks like he's trying to be Jack Nicholson's Joker but Joker nonetheless. And it sounds like he's gotten the laugh right. Please, let him become a big part in the show like Penquin and Riddler. Please!

Gets the heart pumpin'.
13 January 2015
Musicians aren't me but they don't have to be to appreciate a work of art. I haven't felt my heart pump and my whole body rockin to the beat of a drum in years and to say this did a pretty good job would be an understatement. J.K. Simmons is a marvel of snarky, and possibly psychotic, mentors. Every time I watch him I don't know whether to laugh at his smart ass remarks or smack him in the face. Either way, I will proudly remember him best as J. Johnna Jamesson from the Spider-Man movies and Terence Fletcher. I hope he wins best supporting actor at the Oscars. Miles Teller was impressive as the struggling drummer. Before this, I only saw him in Divergent which isn't my idea of a good film. There's one thing he did in the film that seemed really pointless and stupid, considering he opened the door on that situation early in the film. I won't say what, but it happens in a movie theater's concession stand. If that little subplot was written out, they wouldn't have lost anything in the movie. Aside from that, by the end the movie makes you want to stand up and cheer the hell out of it. It's an amazing feel for those who'd wants to bang the drums or just be in a band. Just pray you don't have a psychotic teacher.

This isn't dark and Gothic...that's okay.
9 January 2015
You all know him as the king of Goth, but we as the viewers forget that he can do more. It's good to see him get away from that world of darkness and finally surprise us for a change. Don't get me wrong, I freaking love his dark movies like, "Edward Scissorhands" "Beetlejuice" "Sweeney Todd" and my personal favorites "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Batman."It's kind of weird that there's no Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter anymore but it's good to see something else. Maybe Tim Burton is moving on or taking a break. And if you're tired of seeing the same thing over and over then check out "Big Eyes." It's a well written, well directed and well acted. Amy Adams is no surprise. She gives an astounding performance and I hope to see her in another Burton flick. Christoph Waltz is slimy and a d!ck but every time I see him he looks like he's having a blast and if he's having fun, so am I. And I am so glad Burton kept Danny Elfman. These two guys are inseparable. They're like Spielberg and Williams. Elfman's scare was pretty good, but I still miss that creepy chilling dark music that he's well known for; in this it's more upbeat. All in all, the movie was good but not great, though it doesn't feel historically accurate, mostly because of Waltz's performance. Anyway, check it out.

Now THIS is a real love story.
1 January 2015
I'm a guy, so I don't watch chick films or shows unless there's at least something to appeal to men as equally. I figured this would be a typical clichéd sappy love story we've seen before for, like, the 100 time. Surprise surprise! I was proved wrong. I've watched JeremyJahns review this and I refused to believe what he said because he reviewed and liked the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. Apparently, I'm an idiot. This is not just a love story, it's a drama. Two young people suffering from different cancers get together and start becoming friends first even though one of them has an attraction to the other by appearances, but still taking it slow nonetheless; seems logical, and eventually fall in love. And then there you have it. They live out there lives. This reminds me of "The Bucket List" These two know the cancer will kill them but they never let it destroy them. They take it in stride--for the most part. I recently saw Shailene Woodley in "Divergent" and thought she did okay; the movie kind of felt like a Hunger Games knock-off. But in this? Good lord! She gave an astounding performance of her life. Not once did it feel like she could have done one part a little more or less. I smell an Oscar coming her way! Also, she's freaking beautiful! I think I like her better with short hair. Ansel Elgort does a good job as well. I like that he's this kind of 'I don't care. I'll do whatever I want' guy, but never to a point when he's being a d!ck about it.

All in all, it's an impressive love story that doesn't feel clichéd, old, or very...what's the word? Tweenish. I won't say it's the most realistic love story ever put on screen, but it's more realistic than the usual love stories we get nowadays.

Gone Girl (2014)
8/10
An unpredictable and clever thriller. One of David Fincher's best yet.
16 December 2014
Inspite of Ben Affleck's acting, I'm still not convinced that he will make it as a great Bruce Wayne/Batman but he still manage to capture the odd and suspicious behavior of this man who may or may not be involved in his wife's disappearance. He's a pretty decent actor, in my point of view, but not great. It's amazing how the movie turns the detective work towards us, the viewers; we have to analyze the crime instead of our main character doing it for us. We are the detectives. Could this man be involved? Did he plan it? Or is this a misunderstanding? Just like the trailer, I won't spoil it for you. All I can say is I did not expect what I saw. Rosamund Pike's performance was brilliant. I look forward into seeing her at the Oscars. If they hadn't nominated her, they've haven't even seen the movie. I know she was nominated for a Golden Globe but she deserves more than that. If you liked Fincher's Se7en, I'm sure you'll enjoy the hell out of Gone Girl. It's an interesting thriller that deserves to be recognized and reminiscent. Check it out before some idiot spoils the ending for you.

The next generation Star Wars.
10 November 2014
Awesome Marvel movie I have ever seen since the Avengers! I'm not familiar with the story, I never read the Guardians comics but sometimes that's part of the fun; just experiencing the story by movie standards regardless if it doesn't follow the source material. I don't know if it does so I can't tell you if it does, and even if I did I probably wouldn't tell you. I'd let you see it for yourself. Aside from that, the special effects are incredible! Some of the stuff looks like they used the same effects for Andy Serkis from Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. I don't want to say too much and spoil it for you. All I can say is if you liked the Avengers, you'll love this!

Dark City (1998)
8/10
Darker than the Matrix.
7 November 2014
At first I thought this would be a Matrix ripoff until I looked at the time and realized this was released before the Matrix, but I don't believe the Matrix ripped off Dark City. I believe it was inspired by it as well as the Ghost in the Shell inspired it. It's pretty obvious that this was directed by the guy who did the Crow because it has the same tone. Dark and Gothic. I LOVE dark and Gothic films like the Crow, Batman, Batman Returns, Interview with the Vampire, Sweeney Todd, and so forth. And I love how dark this film is. In my opinion,it has a much better story than the Matrix, wondering if this world is not a world at all, that maybe it is some sort of set up and we're just an experiment or something. The only difference is the Matrix had mindless action including that awesome bullet dodge Reeves did, and sort of a complicated plot. With Dark City, it doesn't need mindless action or the plot to be more complicated than it already needs to be. It relies on story, suspense, atmosphere, and the plot itself is a little easier to follow than the Matrix. If you don't pay attention to the plot you will be confused and bored out of your mind. Also, Richard O'Brien. Aside from Rocky Horror Picture Show I will always remember him as Mr. Hand. If you like dark Gothic movies like the Crow, I think you'll like this one.

Stick to the original.
26 October 2014
This reminds me of the Three Stooges movie; they did the heroes justice but the rest is either pretty weak or just boring. The CG is obviously CG. It's not Gollum CG but it's not Scorpion King from Mummy Returns CG. It looks pretty good just not great. This movie is just another Michael Bay formula where all kids care about is some bad-ass action and no good story or depth in the characters. The only one who seems to have the most depth is April O'Neil, played WONDERFULLY by the student of Kristen Stewart's school of acting, Megan Fox. I just ADORE how emotionless she is. I am just MOVED by how she doesn't care what she's doing. How did she not get an Oscar?

Dude, they just cast her just so young teens can repeat the Paul Reubens act! I'm against hitting women, but she needs a good slap in the face. I don't care about what Hollywood wants; nobody does. This might sound weird but you know who I think would be a good April? Ellen Page. Think about it! She's tough, smart, funny and she can...what's the word...ACT! I think she would look good fighting with the turtles. Anyway, the movie isn't terrible it's just not very good.

A zombie show done right!
9 October 2014
I was afraid this would be another George Romero knock off where they never say the word 'zombie' and they never explain why and how this zombie apocalypse started. Well, they refuse to say the word so they might never reveal the cause. Nonetheless, this is a zombie show done right. It does have some good scares but the formula that really keeps the show afloat and leaves us so emotionally invested is the humans. Most zombie films do a pretty good job with that formula like some of the Romero films, but this seems to have it all. The focus isn't too much on how this happened or killing zombies but more about what our heroes are going through; the difficult choices they have to make; the fear of what they've become (not as zombies but as survivors.) The choices they make are questionable and hard to accept but think to yourself "what would I have done?" Survival of the fittest. For me, the real terror isn't from the zombies but more from the humans. This is not another typical cliché zombie flick. This is a more realistic, very heavy zombie show that doesn't mind leaving us pondering. "What have we become? Is this what we must do to survive? Have we lost our humanity?" This feels more like this is what would happened if the apocalypse occurred in the real world and we are grateful for that. Thank you, Frank Darabont!

My fantasy has finally come to life on television!
9 October 2014
YES! YES! YES! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUU! My wish finally came true! A serial killer who only kills SERIAL KILLERS! This has everything I want; a ruthless serial killer but merciful for the weak; executioner for the guilty but protector of the innocent; mind of a monster but heart of a hero. Dexter Morgan reminds me of Patrick Bateman from "American Psycho" only less of a yuppie (and doesn't kill innocent people) and more of a quiet blood annalist. In fact, this is better than "American Psycho." When your fed up with the bad guy getting away with it you can count on Dexter Morgan to put him out of your misery, and he doesn't do it nicely. He's like the Terminator; he just never stops and considering his motivations and with how the world is, why would you want him to stop? Every kill he makes is like feeding a painful and long awaited hunger. If you like good revenge shows or justice prevailed in the most sinister manner, this show is right up your ally. One of my favorite shows and my fantasy finally given life!

Pretty funny, but weak story.
5 October 2014
I heard the reviews for this and I can understand why people don't find it very funny, but I thought it was funny. It's not "TED" but it still had it's funny moments and some dumb moments. I just prefer Seth as a voice actor rather than a physical actor. There's a couple of jokes that did work I could point out but I won't spoil it for you; you decide if they're funny or not . Charlize Theron, if I'm spelling her name wrong I'm sorry, is okay; she's pretty much just a sexy face. I like Liam Neeson as the bad guy (though he should work better on his American accent like he used to or maybe his character is Irish,) but there was nothing special or new going on; it's just Liam Neeson as the bad guy. The story is pretty weak. The title says "A Million Ways to Die in the West" even though there's no real focus on it; it's more of a sheep farmer evolving into a hero as he falls in love with a hot chick who turns out to be the wife of our villain. That's the plot. That's not new. It's not really funny, it's just pretty funny. That's it. If you're looking for a stupid dumb little comedy and you have a thing for poop jokes then this movie is right for you. However, if you want a really funny comedy with a pretty cool concept, just watch "TED" instead.

Oh, there's a really funny cameo joke that actually did work during the movie.

12 years in the journey from 12 years in production.
2 October 2014
12 years in the making is a bold move, my friend. I don't see many movies like that. It must be scary to worry if something bad happened during production and those years were wasted. Anyways, the movie has that formula we've all seen before, growing up is tough, life is tough, and keep on truckin'. But what made this special is they had the balls to tell a story of a boy and his 12 year journey in the real world by actually filming it for 12 years. That takes a lot of effort and courage. The movie isn't too concerned about plot but more of an experience and realistic ups and downs of the real world using the same actors for over a decade. All in all, it was interesting. Great acting, great cinematography, great accomplishment.

So far, it's the best movie I've seen this year. Well done.

All life is created equal...right?
28 September 2014
Elfen Lied, Shiki, Black Butler? Out of those three--well two because Black Butler had dark tones but there were a lot of corny moments in it also--which are good, this is by far the darkest and most suspenseful anime I have ever seen in my life. There are no fantasy elements, no vampires, werewolves, witches, wizards or anything that seems far from being realistic except for science fiction, of course. But science fiction doesn't take away how brutally realistic this show is. It has a great story, great voice acting, great animation, and great atmosphere. I love the opening to this show. Unlike most anime openings, it definitely fits the tone of the show and has an unforgettable soundtrack to it. Most openings would be all action packed, corny or just weird and isn't honest to the shows tone like Shiki or Black Butler. And, I swear to god, it has probably the scariest villain in all of anime and TV shows nonetheless. I won't tell you who it is but every time I hear this guy's voice it sends shivers down my spine. Definitely one of the best and scariest villains of all time since Hannibal Lecture (which is whom he reminds me of) This show is also thought provoking. Even if it's for the greater good, do we really have it in us. It's a very hard and controversial choice to make. Until something else comes up, MONSTER is my favorite anime of all time.

Everything I want in a vampire series.
27 September 2014
Out of all the vampire movies/TV shows I've seen in my years, this is the show that really made me ponder. Yes, they kill people. To live. That's it. There may be some who enjoy the hunt and eventually they do but to live is is their priority. And they made the point that it's no different than humans killing animals for food, and I can't argue with that. So what is evil? Wanting to live? In a way, when you think about it, we are vampires too. No food is ever given without taking a life. Animals, plants, and even our own people. Look at the Donner Pary, for example. This kind of reminds me of 'Salem's Lot and Interview with the Vampire; Vampires come to a quiet little village and some vampires don't always agree with the method or the sacrifice they have to make to survive, but they eventually become what they are. So after watching the whole series, who are we suppose to root for and who to blame, the humans or the vamps.

There are some scary scenes but mostly just visually. The voice acting is decent. There's some sad moments that actually surprised me; I didn't think those situations would hurt my heart. The music is haunting, beautiful and unforgettable. Shiki is one of my favorite anime and the perfect way to address the harsh realities of vampires and also relating to them. I hope it will have an impact on you because it did to me. Bigtime.

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

It is such a dark, dark world. AND I LOVE IT!
26 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! Seriously, wow! I never thought I would say this even though this show does get political sometimes (I never understood politics so there's no reason to be invested) but this is the most intriguing, shocking, heart pounding suspenseful, intense, hardcore, gut-wrenching dramatic, fantasy drama series I have ever witnesses in my entire life! I see why it trumps the Sopranos. I just adore how heavy and dark this show gets every time I watch it. It's a show about seven noble families battling their way to take the Throne in Westeros. It's slow at times but it's a long journey, it''s supposed to be slow. There's a lot of focus on the characters--which are a lot, by the way--but my favorites are Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Dinklage, Arya Stark played by Maisie Williams, and most of all the gorgeous mother of the dragons who steals the show, Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke. There are other interesting characters but those three are my personal favorites. Tyrion is a dwarf but a very intelligent, smart-ass, Shakespearean member of the Lannister family, the most hated people in the entire show. He knows his family's a group of evil people and they are his family but he doesn't agree with their methods very much. He's the only Lannister in the family who's close to being almost good, regarding him as more of an antihero. Arya is a very young, strong, courageous child who is more of a fighter than a child and fights with her thin sword called the Needle, though she is still a learner, but brave nonetheless. It's so admirable that a child this young (probably 14) could be so daring and tough. And Daenerys is a girl (probably in her twenty's, she looks young) who becomes the mother of dragons--which, to the special effects' credit, look really impressive--and uses them to fulfill her goal: reclaim the Throne of Westeros. She's basically a conqueror with legitimate motivations which also makes her an antihero/hero. There really is no MAIN character which makes the show more intriguing, but those are my personal favorite characters of all time. I won't give too much, it's better if you go to www.cokeandpopcorn.ch and watch it. Aside from the fact that it get's political sometimes, there are other intriguing stories and characters that I think you would thoroughly enjoy. It's so dark, dramatic, exciting, brutal, and unpredictable. Game of Thrones, one of my favorite shows ever!

A truly wonderful anime gem!
3 May 2014
I saw the trailer for this so long ago as a boy and wanted to see it very much. It was definitely worth the wait. Such a charming beautiful little anime. When you think witch in a anime or in anything you'd think it'd be a dark or Gothic tale but for me it's better this way; a bright charming and childlike adventure for the whole family. Miyazaki really knows how to capture the imagination and the spirit of adventure and he never loses his touch--So far. I only saw four of his films such as "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" "Castle in the Sky" "My Neighbor Totoro"- which is one of my favorite movies now- and now finally this. I hope he lives for a very long time to continue his work bringing so much joy and inspiration to the world. God bless you, Hayao Miyazaki!

Miyazaki rules!
3 May 2014
This is the third Miyazaki film I've seen and it's the first family anime to make me feel like a child again. I didn't see it as a kid, I just recently watched it and yet it still took me away into a world of great imagination and adventure. Most family films don't do that to me as an adult (mostly films I never grew up with such as this.) The dubbing isn't all that bad but it's not spectacular ether. What's important is how well the premise and the characters and the moral (I don't think this even has a moral but it doesn't need one, in my opinion. It can be just a whimsical imaginative fantasy like Alice in Wonderland) is written and it's all written very well. I still find it hard to believe how well the animation is, considering the fact that it's a late 80's film. Topnotch animation. Give it a world.

Watch it with the lights off.

You'd think after the Harry Potter franchise ended Daniel Radcliffe couldn't possibly give another performance that didn't resemble the same character. Well, to be honest, I disagree. Daniel as Arthur Kipps gave a pretty solid performance even though some would still regard him as only Harry Potter. That aside, this movie left me in suspense, leaving the jump scares to a minimum. The story is not new to me but it plays out straight. It's not technically "scary"(The Shining, The Exorcist, Jaws, The Innocents, and Halloween are how I define scary) but it's still a really creepy (Children of the Corn, Case 39, and Child's Play are how I define creepy) haunting tale of the a really ticked off woman in black. It won't have a huge effect on you but it's still worth a watch.

Beautifully well done!

I wasn't expecting this: an emotional, dark, intense, gritty anime about two cousins befriending a girl who is not of this world. Oh and I forgot to mention beautiful; not just the girl but the show itself is beautiful. The beginning of the first episode really shocked me. What a way to welcome the audience to a new world of entertainment. The animation is great of course, the story is interesting but not that new, and it really likes to get on our emotional side. there's a particularly sad scene at the final episode which still brings me to tears every time I watch it. I won't spoil it for you but it has something to do with a little girl. I especially like the melody in the intro. It will never leave my head. Give this show a chance. It's beautiful, dark, emotional, touching, violent, and just all around great.

Mary and Max (2009)

Interesting, dark, witty and depressing.

I wouldn't necessarily regard this as a great movie but for the most part I think it's pretty good. The clay animation is superb--which I swear they're using CG because the stop motion is so damn good--the voice acting is pretty decent although they could have just taken it easy on the narration but it does a little to let the moment sink in when needed but only narrate in the beginning and the end and let the emotions do all the talking. The environment looks depressing and a bit dark but that's a positive for me. I love dark movies. It doesn't push the darkness too far, it has some funny moments to lighten the depressing mood that the characters are going through and has some touching elements that cannot be ignored, in my opinion. This looks like another Tim Burton clay animation but for adults which I was hoping it would be but it's not. I wouldn't recommend this to children but I would say chance it for yourself. Oh, I almost forgot. It has a moral for everyone that we can all learn in life. About choosing the right friends even if there is only one in life, and that person could also be your best friend because he/she is your only friend. It tells you to choose and appreciate the friends you have even if there are few. Thank you for that, movie. Thank you.

Batman: Arkham City (2011 Video Game)

I am vengeance, I am the knight, I AM BATMAN!

Oh my god! I mean, OH MY GOD! I have never played a Batman game this extraordinary, this dark, this big before. It has everything you could ever want in a Batman game. It gets better & better every time I play it. Just like the Dark Knight trilogy the first & last games were fun but the second is the definitive Batman game ever. Period. I will never stop playing it. It gets even better if you're a hardcore Batman fan like me. Why are you wasting your time reading this? Go to your local video game store & buy the game. Now damn it! NOW! The voice acting is great; thank you Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamil, the story is interesting, the atmosphere is heavy & Gothic. The game really lets you soak up everything that is Batman. All in all, buy it now!

I'm Batman!

Evil take you
18 February 2014
I watched my big brother play this game with his friend when we were kids and my mom wouldn't let me play. I was too young at the time. I've wanted to play it for so long I begged her. As I got older, I immediately locked on to it. The game haunted me and it still does. Every time I play it it never fails to give me chills. The tone is very dark & intense, the scares are flawless, the story is interesting, & it probably has the best characters in the entire franchise: Chris Redfield & Jill Valentine. These two completely own the franchise. Every time I play it it always brings me back. It's dated but it never lost it's style. Resident Evil is one of my favorite games of all time.
