Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Pure garbage
I'm a huge fan of the MCU movies but I have no idea what happened here. Although the previous movies had a hint of humor here and there in the right place, this movie was that guy who tells bad jokes at a party while he laughs at himself. I'm not sure who pressed the wrong button to nominate this film for any kind of award. I only watch this movie for first 15 minutes and I was done. I understand that there should be a break in between movies however that should be use to tell a compelling storyline which until now has not been 100% accurate from the comics. The two stars was because of Christian Bale's performance was amazing.
Hugo (2011)
Slow burning trash
I don't understand how this movie is so highly rated across different categories. The movie wasn't drama slow it was like a snail crossing across a football show. I understand the appeal about not having to explain everything and rather have esthetics appeal to the imagination but this movie was like someone watching put together a jigsaw puzzle. The graphical effects were great but the content just wasn't there at all.
Hall Pass (2011)
Dumpster fire of a movie
I watched about half this movie and it was terrible. The humor had no punchlines. All the characters were devoid of any personality and fictitious. I understand the premise but the movie didn't continuously try to set a premise and didn't flow. The dialogue was too straight forward to get a sense of any anticipation. It plot was too predictable the only things that couldn't be predicted was the introduction of characters.
MindGamers (2015)
Intensely mind bending movie that deserves credit
Mindgamers is a provocative movie that explores the implications of reality. The preconceived notion that it is governed by a force that is larger than any one of us is true but to what degree. As technology moves itself inching forward towards the edge of our reality what is it that lies beyond. It is ourselves or it is a unified universe in which everyone exists at one? Mindgamers asks the question of what is possible or what is impossible at the same time? It's a logical film that requires very careful attention. If you miss a scene then you'll be completely lost. Just like reality, it portrays the possibilities of what the human consciousness and how it affects each one of us is immeasurable.
Don Jon (2013)
Could have been better!
The movie truly started out as being pretty solid telling the story of a lonely man who is addicted to porn but also sleeping with random women which somehow didn't break his addiction. I understand the day to day habits that people can get themselves. I really felt those aspects of the film through the dialogue, that you would rather be with yourself than anyone else. However how did he get that nice apartment with all that stuff and get all those women on a bartender salary? And how does a one night stand in the backseat of a car make some sort of great connection with this older woman?
I felt that this film was rushed towards and the substance that it did have in the beginning slowly started draining away and it made no sense at all. He didn't seem emotional through any of this.
