The Nutty Professor (1996)
Funny as expected, but for the wrong reasons.
The male lead character, professor Klump, is a seriously obese but very loveable character who one cannot help but to admire for taking on such a comical role.
However, it is very unlike the original with Jerry Lewis who plays a very awkward and rather idiotic character.
It's a very watchable movie but I couldn't help feeling that Eddie is basically making fun of fat people as a subject matter because fat people are a funny subject that aren't able to stick up for themselves perhaps.
Yes I laughed, I laughed my ass off. But I could see the serious side too.
Living the Dream (2017)
Very well written and funny.
I really miss this series because it was very well written and very funny. The storyline was well constructed, and each character was acted superbly. A great cast of actors, and I enjoyed watching the series unfold.
In the first series you see the family move to their newly acquired RV Park and we meet the rather eccentric characters. Just about everyone living there has a great story to tell. Lots of twists start to unravel as the story unfolds until the climax is reached and justice is served but I won't say anymore because I don't like to give spoilers. You will have to watch the series to find out more.
The Jazz Singer (1980)
As a singer, this film constantly inspires me.
From the first time I saw this film I was hooked on to the greatest film songs by Neil Diamond. All the songs are great songs that inspire happiness and sadness, triggering memories from one's subconscious. I can watch it over and over for all the music, but also for the messages in the film about love, family, friends, relationships, etc.
A definitive film.
