Hanson at the Fillmore (2001)
Excellent!!
Loved it, loved it, loved it!! If you are really into Hanson, as I am, you will love it too!! Hanson really knows how to keep a crowd going!! Every time I see this film I get a burst of energy. & as soon as you see Taylor telling you how to dance, do it! It's fun!! Like they say, dance as if no one is watching!! And they end it perfectly with an encore & an a capella bit. I don't care if you think they're bubble-gum pop! If you can toss your pride aside for an hour an a half, you will enjoy this movie!! They not only sing their own songs but they also sing "Magic Carpet Ride"!! You can't tell me you can resist that song!! Besides, those high-pitched squeaky voices are long gone. The boys have grown up and improved a lot!
Hanson: Tulsa, Tokyo, & the Middle of Nowhere (1997)
Good movie, especially if you appreciate their singing!
I thought this movie was good as far as a documentary goes. The guys really act themselves, unlike some of the phonies out there who put on a goody-goody act. I may be considered cheesy for liking Hanson since they faded out, but I listened to their old stuff again, and I really can't complain. They did more than the Backstreet Boys or N*SYNC did as far as playing their own instruments and not lip-syncing. When I hear them sing, I can tell that they really are in love with the music-- and that's saying a lot because I never have mentioned that about any other band. If you think about it, they did bring the world away from the depression-rock for awhile. Now that people have let them fade out, it is beginning to come back. No offense to the people who like it--I myself listen to a lot of it, but it doesn't open up my eyes to music the way Hanson does. I give this movie 2 thumbs-up!
