House of the Dragon: The Rogue Prince (2022) Season 1, Episode 2

Expected more

It was ok. Not gonna say it was boring or inconsequential but maybe some of the issues were not fully developed as far as I am concerned. I'd say it was quite lame for me and although the finale of the episode was a perfect clickbait for number three. Hope next one has way more action and less conversation so I can help yawning from time to time. And I still think the resemblance of Game of Thrones is even more obvious.

And now as the review must go up to six hundred characters I'll keep writing about costume design, photography, production, visual effects (they're great regarding the way dragons are displayed on screen).

The spirit of GoT is there resembling everywhere. Great achievement in these new series. And one of the rawest scenes I've ever seen the one about the birth. No spoiler at all.

Overreaction everywhere about this one. Boring to death from the very beginning. I won't even bother watching the rest. It's what happens when hype is created and a couple of twitter stars start accomplishing the show to earn a few likes.

Maybe the story is not very original. Reminded me of Into the night. And I must add, patronising a little bit, Turkish do better things than action shows. Their soap operas are way more entertaining.

Star Trek is not accurate as well

I had some doubts about it but in the end I think it is a good story. Read some reviews criticising accuracy. Guys, it's sci-fi. They can do whatever they want. Star Trek is not accurate at all and it's beloved all around. Enjoy your time and stop trying to find the missing link.

Why second season?

First season had been great and almost watched all episodes in a row. Disappointingly second has nothing to do and is a nonsense where maybe the plot is quite the same but it looks like scriptwriters didn't find the proper way to keep up the level.

Santa Evita (2022)

An Alterio is always a must

Wherever there's an Alterio's family member on screen it is worth watching the show. Besides, the rest of Argentinians do it well. Maybe the only drawback I've found is quite a lack ok likeness in settings and other stuff I haven't reckoned as hundred per cent reliable or perhaps a bit too much artificial.

Quite disappointing

I must say it wasn't what I expected in some way. It was moving, emotional as usual but if you don't know it is the finale and it is one episode from season 3 it wouldn't make a difference. I'd personally preferred the previous one as the great ending for this superb show.

Worthy

Despite the fact that this kind of animation series are not my cup of tea I found some of them really good. Blood, sex, violence and rude language everywhere is the part I enjoyed the most. I'd highlight 'The witness' and 'Kill team kill' as my fav. And as the odd one out that didn't fit in here but I liked was the one about yoghurt dictatorial regime in our society.

Only watched this last season and maybe I'll try the rest. I really enjoyed this one. Kind of House of Cards but with this unique touch only Scandinavians know how to apply and make the difference and, subjectively, I love so much. Some scenery in Greenland also has to do a little bit...

Give an eight not regarding the quality of the episode but for the fatality the evil creature did to one of the characters. Even better than those in. Mortal Kombat. It was perfect.

Perfect wrap up

A perfect wrap up for a show that goes in crescendo and you can't stop watching until it is finished. Relationships among characters evolve and that nice British wit that sometimes makes you laugh during a scene where you're feeling moved. And Lenny, archetype of an underrated character, is just marvellous.

Of course she did deserve a nice episode like this one to say goodbye to every and single member of this family. A different kind of memorial service where Pearsons act just the way they are and that's why we love and equally miss this show.

Unexpectedly good

Didn't start this one hoping too much of a huge enjoyment but as episodes went by it kept me hooked and I liked it til the very end of it. Well done here working out some creepy stuff that I've missed in some others that allegedly were more likely to that sort of thing.

I've been waiting for too long and my expectations were very high to eventually feel that all was for almost nothing. Didn't enjoy this one as much as I did with the others. Anyway, I'm gonna watch it again tonight and maybe I need to change to my review.

Deserved dedicated episode to perhaps one of the most underrated characters in the show. From my point of view, he is more important than it seems among the siblings and their mother's relationship and has way more influence on the plot when decisions come to be made.

Nicely paced and well taken care of Miguel's roots and origins.

Is it really intended to be a film for kids?

Of course Buzz is related to Toy Story saga but apart from the fact it is the only link between them, not many things are really enjoyable let's say for a.kid around 5 or 6. Why?

Too much "violence" or fights.

Thoughtful conversations where morality and even philosophical issues take place and most of the children don't get that kind of depth.

Some other values like friendship, teamwork and effort are remarkable.and more adequate for this audience.

Finally, loved a couple of.nods, surely there are some others, where they mentioned in a subtle manner "Addams family" and "Terminator 2".

A perfect atmosphere created towards this story that had such a terrible impact mainly in the low classes of American citizens and dragged them through one of the darkest times in modern days. Michael Keaton doing a very good work as well as the staff making of this project a sensitive issue to think about.

Hustle (2022)

Surprisingly good

You may think it is just another sports film and actually it is. However, things happen for a reason and you don't get tired of watching dunks and three pointers because there is a plot to keep an eye on and it makes sense.

It is great seeing all those players and staff around basketball doing their cameos, they give a higher dimension.

I expected more, I liked it though. Maybe at the very end I could possible have added something else to put all the pieces together. In fact, as these episodes went by I must admit my interest increased but maybe the length was totally unnecessary.

The truth is it ended with a classic Stranger things wrap around. Loved it. Nonetheless the path to reach these final five minutes of climax was tedious; nothing else but dull. Like eating non-cheese pizza, meaningless.

Mandalorian again? C'mon. You must be joking. Hope next episodes bring some action and lift up the interest. Not a good intro for me. Low pace, less action than in Toy Story and always the loneliness surrounds everything and that void is hard to fill in.
