Miracle Workers (2019–2023)
7/10
The Passable Cousin of 'The Good Place'
27 March 2019
Miracle Workers is a quirky comedic concept that never finds itself fully formed. The story, themes and comedy never quite hit the absurdist levels they hope to push. Thankfully, the cast is extremely charismatic and fun surrounded by an entertaining premise and some thought-provoking themes. It ends up becoming a run-of-the-mill, ordinary comedy that is saved by the hilarious and layered performances of Buscemi and Radcliffe. From its fun inventive premise to its half-baked idea, Miracle Workers ends up being the passable distant cousin of The Good Place.

Riverdale: Chapter Forty-Six: The Red Dahlia (2019)
Season 3, Episode 11
10/10
Riverdale goes full Chinatown
31 January 2019
Overall, The Red Dahlia was an interesting episode. It's noir style is definitely up Riverdale's alley and it manages to be the juiciest, most exposition-heavy episode of the season. The reveal of so many outstanding questions caused jaw-dropping moment after moment setting up for something much bigger for this season's end. These high schoolers are way in over their heads and it's surprising that the national guard hasn't gotten involved, but that's just what happens. It's Riverdale.

An Indie Dramedy Gem
2 May 2018
This is a heartfelt, charming indie dramedy that is anything but indie. It feels like a blockbuster with a story that is smart and filled with witty humour, genuine moments and some very relatable themes and perspectives. The outstanding direction creates an engaging atmosphere paired with some phenomenal and charismatic performances that prove this is that one fish in the sea. It is one of the big indie hits of 2018.
