V for Vendetta (2005)
Wow!
Nothing could be more topical at this time. When I see what is going on in my own government, in Canada, this movie gave me shivers. The lies, the subterfuge, the inability to protest, frightens me very much.
The Empty Man (2020)
Worth seeing
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It has a gripping storyline and and doesn't use any jump up and scare you tricks. However, post-production missed the boat on this one. It's much too long. It required a lot of determination to stay until the end. Only the suspense kept me going. About 20 minutes could have been cut out of it. I don't think it would have lost any of the story or suspense. So many slow moving parts could have been edited to be more concise. Thankfully, the denouement made the so long journey worth it.
Deadly Shores (2018)
Bad bad acting
Sorry Carly, you need some acting lessons pronto if you want to continue in this field. I have watched way better performances at high school theatres.
Willed to Kill (2012)
Great Plot and Storyline *Spoiler*
Could have been a really good movie if not for the rather unimaginative dialogue and Sarah Jane Morris's stilted and one note acting. Also, the cadence of the psychologist's voice was identical to Hades and it was easy to predict the ending very early on in the movie.
Drunk Parents (2019)
Enjoyed it!
Funny and silly, I forgot the stress of the real world for the duration of the movie. Sure, it won't win Oscars but sometimes you need a distraction that doesn't require you to think too deeply.
