Touch: Broken (2013)
Devilish dilemma's
I really like the dilemma's introduced in this episode. Calvin wants to redeem himself by curing his brother who is severely handicapped because of his fault. Lucy lowers herself to torture to get her daughter back, and is tempted to trade in Jake for Amelia. Until the very last moment it is not clear whether she would or wouldn't do that. So, both are being tempted to do bad things for good reasons.
And then Guillermo does it the other way around: he does a good thing to convince himself that it is OK to do bad things: he rescues a surgeon who strayed off in the desert because he wanted to die, because he feels guilty of the death of a child he operated upon and died. Guillermo redeems him and rescues him by bringing him back to his family. And by doing that, he gets convinced that it is okay to make collateral damage for the greater good.
Touch: Ghosts (2013)
Worst episode
I don't know what they were thinking when they wrote this episode. They started off with the introduction they also did on S02E04. Then they introduced several characters we've never seen before, just to get slaughtered. Dutch, for example. He shows up, starts telling that he and Martin go way back. Screen writers shouldn't do that. Show, don't tell. He should have been introduced in a previous episode and helped Martin out. Also, the horny interracial couple and the bearded ginger guy only were there to bleed. None of them is properly introduced to make the audience connect with them or care about them. Apparently, Jake, Amelia and Guillermo can suddenly communicate with each other through telepathy. It all feels like bad screen writing.
The previous episode was way better.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
Poor adaptation
The book Eclipse for me is much more interesting than the previous 2 books in the Twilight saga. But unfortunately this film adaptation doesn't present this story well. For example: in the book, the collaboration of the Werewolf pack and the Vampires is unlikely for a fair part of the book, and then it happens. But in this movie, this plot is given away much too early, ruining the storytelling.
And then there are those little things that just shouldn't be in any movie. I mean the camera shake in the simplest of all shots. There is nothing wrong with the action-shots; they did the effort there. But a simple shot of a conversation? Camera is shaking like the Blair Witch Project. Why?
