Due Justice (2023)

Ughhhhhh......

This movie was a giant waste of time. The acting is so bad you'll question turning it off before you reach the midway point. It's one thing if the story is bad but the acting is good but this movie the acting is terrible and the story absolutely sucks. It's slow, pointless, with no real attachment to keep you interested. I thought with Kellan Lutz in it, it would be somewhat decent but nope. And for us to believe that Pedro is a cop, gtfoh. If you get to watch this movie for free, then by all means, waste your time. But if you choose to pay for this dumpster fire, then don't come on here and say you didn't get a warning. This is your warning. Hard pass.....

Horrible Acting

Whoever casted the lady Teresa must have been doing someone a favor. Her acting is one of a bad Tubi show or even schooling bought from Temu. The show itself, pretty good. The struggle of right and wrong within the cop was well acted. Chicago PD needs that old school zero Fs to give back on the scene. Without the main dude being more active, the show isn't as good. Hopefully they find an edgier character like Hank Voight who can carry the show on their back. If anything, make these back secondary characters seem less cringey to watch. But to go back to this D class acting.... Well, at least she tried.

Silent Night (2023)

This movie sucked so bad. From the acting to the acting! By far the worst movie any of these folks have ever been in. This movie was as bad as a late night Tubi run. So glad we didn't waste money on it in theaters. And we watched it on our 65 inch with surround sound and it still sucked. Mind you, this review was made by someone who paid ONE DOLLAR to watch it. I feel like someone owes me 99 cents. Very disappointed especially since the cast wasn't bad. I get the movie is called Silent Night but for NO ONE to speak, was hella stupid. Big waste of time and no I would not recommend watching this dumpster fire.

A Haunting in Venice (2023)

This movie is boring af. Last 30 minutes are decent but that's about it. We go to the movies all the time and this movie was the first in a long time where we almost left. But because movies are so costly and the popcorn was good, we convinced ourselves to stay. Anyway, while the concept was decent, the execution felt just like that, an execution. Very disappointed in this movie as a whole and yet I'm baffled on how so many have it such rave reviews. Thankfully, it's a shorter movie and not one of the new three hour adventures. Next to go in not expecting much and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Granted, we weren't, but not everyone is going to like the same things. ;o)

This movie was mediocre af. Ben Affleck must have been drunk to agree to this script. Casting wasn't bad but other than that, this movie was confusing, boring, and the acting was mid. Which was surprising being that it had good actors and actresses in it. Thank God we didn't pay to see this movie in theatres. We actually almost turned it off a couple of times. The concept was interesting but the execution was terrible. So if you want to watch a movie that feels like a waste of time, this is it. If you want a good nap movie, where you can take a nap and then wake up at the end, this is it. Ben Affleck should stick to playing Batman. This ain't it........

Like Sasuage Party But Dogs! (and better)

Freakin HILARIOUS! We laughed this entire movie. Is it crude, gross, and downright not for kids... YES. And that's why it was hilarious! There is an actual storyline and you do catch your feelings at the end but this was one of the funniest comedies we have seen in a lonnnnnng time. Hence we usually go to see horror movies. These dogs were casted very well and not once were we bored with the story. From start to finish, you feel engaged and are rooting for these dogs. Even the humans in the movie did a good job connecting with the characters of the dogs to make it more realistic. I'm actually glad we saw this in theatres as it was worth the money. Also, there IS a mid credit scene that is worth staying for. We were entertained!

Twisted Metal (2023– )

What A Ride!

We just finished binge watching the whole season (each episode is only 30 minutes). While Samoa Joe/Will Arnett brought such a coolness to "Sweet Tooth"! This show was really entertaining and fun to watch. Anthony Mackie is pure gold! The rest of the cast was perfectly placed in their roles! And "Quiet", well she made every female watching wanna kick ass! Is there violence, blood, bad language, etc... yeah, but it all comes together with comedy so it's very Deadpool-like. If you have Peacock, I'd recommend trying a couple of episodes but be prepared to stay for the ride! I can't wait for Season 2!!

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

I'm Feeling Generous

Ok, so this movie is obviously long af! It could have easily been summed up within 2 hours. With that said, the best way I can describe it is, you know those conference meetings where everyone is sitting around the table and the one dude doesn't know how to stfu. Oppenheimer is that conference meeting you're stuck in.

With that said, the acting is excellent. Robert Downey Jr, Josh Hartnett, and Cillian Murphy were my favorites. Josh Hartnett made me do triple takes because I couldn't believe how evolved he was. The movie itself needed to be more spicy.. more, exciting. Now there was one scene that people got offended over but it's 2023, what are people NOT offended over anymore? The movie itself was about a 5.5 but I'm giving it an 8 because I could listen to Cillian Murphy talk all day. I think people expected to see an explosion and aftermath but this movie isn't an action movie. We are in the brain of Oppenheimer. We are in his story.

But if you don't like long movies this definitely isn't for you. It's a whole lot of talking. Oh and spoiler alert.... they do show some boobies so I guess that was a little spicy. :P.

The Flash (I) (2023)

FUN AND ENTERTAINING!

This movie is long but one of my favorites. It's funny and well worth theatre prices. Ezra Miller did a great job and we were entertained the entire time. We'd actually go see this one again. I don't get why DC hasn't figured it out yet, but all these actors are perfect for their roles, it's the writing that fails them. But this movie made so much sense. The way they pulled it all together, without giving a spoilers, trust me, you will find it fun to watch. Especially if you like and understand superheroes of today and the past.

Renfield (2023)

FUN!!

This movie was entertaining and fun! Great placement of comedy, gun gore scenes, and excellent casting! We really enjoyed this one. It's not serious but it keeps you interested. Kinda short to be honest. We left thinking of the different ways they could make a sequel. Other than Dracula's teeth, which were a bit over done hence why Cage sounded like he was fighting to get his words out, the movie itself was a solid 8 out of 10. Going in, expect nothing. You'll enjoy it. Also, there are no end credit scenes. Once it's over, it's over. But hopefully we will get a sequel equally entertaining as this first.

If you're a fan of Yellowstone, this movie is NOT for you. You may see it and think, hell yeah, RIP is staring in a movie. Welp, you don't get RIP, you're getting a terrible version of Cole Hauser, or a generic dull long lost cousin of RIP. His acting in this movie would have shot down his role on Yellowstone had they seen this prior. As for Morgan Freeman, bless his heart. Just live in retirement. You and Ashley Judd dragged these type of movies through the mud years ago. Time to let it go. As for the rest of the cast, I'm sure you all had fun, but we the viewers, wish you well on your future endeavors. Whether that be selling insurance or putting ketchup in our bags.

2023 Review

The trailer makes this movie look pretty good. Do NOT fall for this. The reviews, as horrible as they are, are generous. This movie was terrible. To even compare it to Silence of the Lambs is an insult to that movie. Martin Lawrence... This movie sucked dude. You should see if they can CGI you out and put a cartoon character in your place. If anything, Lawrence and Malkovich proved that well known names in a movie, doesn't mean a thing. And I feel bad for thr female actress. She probably thought going into this that this movie would be a blockbuster but it was fat from it.

Don't waste your time. Believe the reviews unlike I did.

I went into this open minded because reviews are just opinions and I try not to let that deter me from movies. However, this movie was goofy af! The ONLY reason I gave it a three was 1 for Kevin Bacon and 2 for the twist regarding the actor with the bushy eyebrows and 3 for trying. Other than that, it was a big ol dump on "horror". One hour into the movie and only two people die, and they weren't even good murder scenes. Hell, the dog in this movie did better acting than the majority of the cast.

I wouldn't call this a "woke" film, but if you don't like gays, this definitely isn't the movie for you. The idea had a lot of potential but the movie itself fell hella short. I figured that would happen when they broke into a singing scene like it was High School Musical.

Idk, I was hoping for better since Kevin Bacon was in this but yeah, that did not happen. And I'm pretty sure Anna Chlumsky put honey in Macaulay Culkin's body lotion...

The Devil You Know (III) (2022)

I have never turned a movie off until now. Just a bunch of mumbling, whispering, and we can barely hear what they are saying. We keep turning the volume up and then they whisper more. It was super slow and the acting was generic. Very low budget. Omar Epps shouldn't even list this on his IMBD. I wouldn't claim this one at all. Horrible acting as a whole.

I gave this a 5 because we watched this late at night and slightly high and found it hilarious. I'm guessing they were high when they created this too so it's fair. Cage doesn't talk one bit but it's Cage, who cares. The movie is stupid and unrealistic but it was a great waste of time.

Ryan Reynolds legit only plays Deadpool in every movie now!!!?! Dwayne Johnson gives us the same badass Dwayne we always see of course. Gal Gadot, yup she plays a sexy female badass, damn near Wonder Woman. It's like these people play the same character in every movie. It's repetitive and old now. Decent action movie I suppose but you've seen it....... a thousand times already!

It's a cheesy slasher film. The acting is ok, the storyline isn't perfect, but if you go in open minded, it's a decent movie. And for all you saying it's the worst horror movie ever, clearly y'all haven't seen Devil's Acid. Ahahahahhaaa!! This movie isn't theatre worthy but it was a decent little Saturday movie night flick. ;)

Every 1 to 2 rating you see is spot on. This is some strange hippy cult movie. So disturbingly weird that my husband compared it to the movie where they turned Justin Long into a walrus. Between the awkward chanting and moaning to the dumb ending, this movie will leave you asking What in the actual F did I just watch... and WHY!?
