Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
Excellent retelling for the original fans
Don't understand the hate here. These people need to realise "only constant in life is Change!" , you can't expect it to be like the 80s show. I for one am glad that Kevin smith reinterpreted the tv show for the current era. Teela's character is amazing and shows more depth then the original show. Spoiler Alert!! The shocking twist in the pilot and the fifth episode was something most watchers will not expect. This is a great show so please don't pay attention to all these crappy negative reviews.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Over promise under delivered!
I thought Dr.Strange was poor, but this one takes the cake. I have enjoyed marvel back catalogue but this is the poorest film Marvel has to offer to date ! Brie Larson, cat and CGi are the only noteworthy things here. Storyline appears to be rushed and forced, too much time spent chatting away and cliched jokes. The 90s soundtrack was a good idea but not setup nicely to invoke emotions apart from Nirvana's "Come as you are " . Don't waste your money on imax or 3D just watch on a normal screen or better wait for the DVD.
We Are Your Friends (2015)
one of the best EDM films out there !!
I get it, a lot of people do not understand EDM and primarily this is the reason a lot of critics and viewers castrated this film. I am by no means a zac efron's fan but the guy here acted his heart out. emily ratajkowski also brings out her acting chops. The cinematography depicting the valley atmosphere is on point, it brings a raw, getting up in the morning feel to the film. The music what can i say comprises some of the best EDM tracks out there, from "The rapture - sister saviour(DFA mix) to the ending track "Cole memories" are just amazing. The film on its own is worth watching just to lend an ear to the wonderful music it contains. There is also a coming of age story which is not Oscar-worthy but still warm and fuzzy. If you love EDM and feel good films then this is one film you should not miss out on. P.S. The party animated scene is targeted at those who have experienced hallucination while under the influence.
The Crow (1994)
A Brooding Cult Classic
i remember i was in college when i first heard of this movie. I had to go through quite a few video shops to get my hand on a decent VHS tape but boy oh boy was i blown way with this flick. The dark atmosphere coupled with a banging soundtrack makes it a proper cult classic. Who can forget the scene when Brandon lee is standing at the window looking at the town with The Crow's 'Burn' track in the backdrop. It is one of cinema's most hallucinating scenes yet the movie never got the status it deserved when it got released. With time people will discover this cult classic and rediscover themselves with it. The soundtrack in its own is another classic, filled with big names like The Cure, Nine inch nails, violent femmes, panthera etc, it sure is a soundtrack to blow you away.
