Drishyam (2013)
Not worthy of 8.3
The film is excessively slow, for a story that could be summarized in less than ninety minutes. In addition to being totally predictable in its development, it has large gaps in its story that it simply does not contribute. The murder is forced and too false. The performances are unconvincing, there is no need to call the protagonist by name the entire movie and the takes are not of a professional level. In short: a 160 minute torture that can be done in just 60 minutes.
Babam ve Oglum (2005)
A common feeling to many in this world.
An excellent film, not extraordinary, but it appeals to a feeling that many of us who belong to countries that have suffered dictatorships have: the intense pain inflicted on thousands of families with loved ones who have disappeared, tortured and massacred in the most cruel way. Fortunate are those who have not suffered closely.
By far I liked Salim's role more, apart from the boy whose acting is compelling. The other aspects of the film are of good manufacture.

Seppuku (1962)
A good history will lives forever
First i must state that english isn't my mother language (so sorry for grammatical mistakes), but this film in my journey to the Top 250 really captivated me. A good revenge history like this is always satisfying to be watched, doesn't matter if it is japanese, in black and white or from 50 years ago. The characterization is amazing, the quality of the filming and especially the ending make this movie worth to be for many years in the top 250 no matter how many advances in special effects today and tomorrow a good history will live forever.
