Fear (1996)
Who wrote this foolishness?
So many dumb acting moments:
1. Why was the stepmom so accepting of a 23 year old dating her 16 year old daughter? (gross)
2. Why was the well established father so into being a vigilante and not calling the cops on someone with a criminal background? They would've arrested him for statutory rape.
3. After the guy was known to be a crazy person, why did it seem like the father was still just talking to lawyer and not the police? Even after his daughter was assaulted in the public bathroom? WTH?!
4. Why was Nicole always letting guys do what they wanted to her with her hands nicely by her side? David in the bathroom - her hands just resting on the wall. David's friend undresses her at the end - her hands just laying on the bed like she's consenting to it all while screaming. ππ
5. With all the security built into the house, why didn't he have a gun?
6. Why didn't his coworker call the police when his car was vandalized instead of giving this man his own car keys and just going about as usual with business? Who does that? π
7. Why would the stepmom let a bunch of killers in the house with children? I don't care if they are going to shoot your husband - protect the children AT ALL COST!!
I just lost respect for Reese Witherspoon after watching this movie on Netflix. π
Til Death Do Us Part (2023)
Director & Producer - go jump off a bridge!
The producer and director should NEVER make another movie again. This is NOT your calling.
I just wasted time that I can never get back in my life watching this movie. There was no real storyline. Still can't even figure out why they're chasing this bride. It literally makes no sense. Just a killing fest.
And what was the point of constantly playing loud music so that no one can hear where the girl is or if other people are dead? And the stupid guy wanting to play it and dance around like an idiot.
And the growling at each other is just comical. Is that your "I'm a killer" sound? π
If these are assassins, they are the worst that ever existed.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Rolled my eyes so many times
This fell so short from the excitement I felt as a kid watching these films as a family.
1. I swear some of the tomb scenes are from past movies.
2. This leading lady was not likable at all. She was not pretty, arrogant, selfish, deceitful and annoying. Why Indiana wanted to "always" save her when she made it clear several times she could care less about his life...I'll never know.
3. The action scenes were not believable. At his age, there is no way he is jumping on trains and not breaking a hip. Come on! π
4. I was starting to predict what would happen next: "I'll bet the Nazis show up exactly at the moment they find the artifact and have to hand it over because they have guns." Literally, the entire movie. I mean these are the world's luckiest villains ever! Not even a second off the timing ππ
Some people left and others were sleep in the theater. I rolled my eyes so many times, I may need to go see the eye doctor.
Save your money! Go re-watch an old Indiana Jones.
EntrevΓas (2021)
The worst written series on Netflix
The storyline initially starts off OK, but the way the characters move through the plot is utterly ridiculous. The characters do things that don't make sense in the moment. There's no reason for them to have such close distance when talking to each other on camera. It really feels like an amateur film festival type of show.
I made it to episode 3 before I just quit. After watching the scene between the detective and the grandfather arguing about paying money to liberate the granddaughters boyfriend from his mischievous ways. The detective says the granddaughter just overheard the entire conversation because she was standing right behind them. Instead of just simply turning around and looking to see that the granddaughter was not there, the grandfather literally turns around & walks to the back of the apartment to see where the granddaughter is. WTH? He doesn't call for her. She doesn't just turn around and see that she's not there, call the detective a liar. He doesn't shut the door in his face to go see. He literally leaves the front door open with a person who he does not like to go check for a person that was never there. It's ridiculous!
Are people in Spain this naive or stupid? π
This is really a mockery, making the people look extremely gullible.
Don't waste your life's time on earth with this series unless you are entertained by foolishness.
Les liaisons dangereuses (2022)
Adaptation is basically a copy of the movie "Cruel Intentions (1999)"
This adaptation is looking a lot like Cruel Intentions, except the two vicious people are not step-siblings, they're dating. But they are still making a bet at an elite prep school to deflower the new headmaster's daughter.
Helstrom (2020)
Good but could be Great
I like the storyline and the parallel between demons and priests.
The only thing I hate is the "almost" a nun who insist on being in the room or going with the group to fight evil. She has literally no powers, fighting skills, or usefulness. She ends up getting in the way or caught by the bad guys every single time, which compromises the entire plan.
Would like to see a season two, without the dead weight. She's literally dragging the show.
Evil (2019)
Writers need Help
The synopsis of this show is intriguing, but.....
1. The kids talking over each other in every possible scene is super annoying.
2. The mother who acts like she can control the safety of her family against demonic forces YET she doesn't believe in demons at all, and they keep attacking her and her family. Come on!
3. The priest who knowingly puts himself in dangerous situations be being naive after all the crazy people he's encountered. Like really, why are you turning your back on people you suspect have killed someone, while your arm is in a sling? That's how you ended up in the sling. Ugh!!!
4. The priest needs to take drugs (mushrooms) to "hear" from God? What two year old wrote that?
5. The grandmother knows her new boyfriend is a psychopath, heard the recording of him threatening her own daughter, yet the writers have her end up engaged to said psychopath?
It's like they ran out of ideas that can somehow make this storyline believable.
Whole mood of season 1 was a very dramatic...womp, womp, womp. Over it! π
Locke & Key (2020)
Magical yet frustrating at times
Very cool concept, but I get annoyed by the writers/directors choice to allow an 8 year old to roam around a large house or outside at night alone. Like completely alone.
And there still isn't a rational explanation as to why his sister and brother are in school, yet his school hasn't started or is out already. That's not how school systems work in America - when school is in, its in for all of them. I think making him the main character who finds himself in situations where he can clearly be killed by the weird assassin, was a mistake.
Anne (2017)
Season 3 writing is infuriating
Writing in the 3rd season is so unrealistic at times and frustrating me.
I mean the "I have to tell Gilbert I love him. Oh! He's not home? Let me write a note then go off for 2 weeks and assume he got it". Then the whole traveling note on peoples shoes.
Then the best friend sees said Gilbert and is too repressed of a woman to tell him.And her mother just "needs her" to teach her sister algebra in that very moment too.
And in a small town of like 50 people, why are people leaving notes for people who are just down the street or that you are at school, or that you are at church? Then when they do see each other, they have be so "proper" that they can't say ALL the foolishness they just left in the note.
Come on!! Get real!!
This is definitely my last season watching this. I can't take they way it's drawn out unnecessarily.
Mata Hari (2016)
Worst dialogue ever!!
Whoever wrote this must have spoken another language other than English, then decided to write an entire script in English. It was hard to even get through the 1st half.
The characters were unbelievable. For example, in the beginning, Mata Hari has a knife to her husbands's throat, who was just trying to rape her, then he's "smart enough" to start yelling "please don't kill me" just as her daughter (who was stolen by him) and his new mistress (who he lied about) walk into the room. And what does she do? Sit on the floor with the rapist husband acting like she's mute all of the sudden. Oh, but then she ends up writing these elaborate letters to her daughter...yes, the mute! Such poor character development.
I hope this writer finds a new profession soon.
