I was a bit skeptical about the show because of the title but upon watching it, I understood what they were trying to do.The show mocks racism and stereotypes in a funny and non-offensive way. Anderson is relentless in his pursuit of "blackness" for his family. We see him dragging his poor son into all sorts of black experiences that do not mean anything to the poor boy. His numerous attempts to impose his "blackness" always backfire and end up being teachable moments for him. It is interesting to note that while all his family members are black, he is the only one who seems bothered by his family's "blackness" or lack thereof. This is a must see show for anyone who appreciates good comedy. Lawrence Fshburn also, does not disappoint with his one liners.
