Persuasion (2022)
Loved it
The whole story was really good and the way they showed Dakota very modern compared to others that was very good. The moments where she was narrating were the best, loved that concept.
The Big Bang Theory: The Scavenger Vortex (2013)
Excellent episode after some dry patches
Great mix of science, music , fight , funs, comedy.
Covert Affairs (2010)
really nice show it grows on you, only 1 complaint
Even though first few episodes were not upto the mark, slowly the stories were more involved detailed. By the end of 1st season I am completely hooked.
I have only 1 complain though, why don't you give the damn gun to the girl.
The Spectacular Now (2013)
good acting, good performances
Sutter's character was kind of grey. At times he acted good, at times bad, which is quite realistic. He was never fully over her ex. even though he really liked Amee. He had alcohol issues and film was realistic in that sense. Alcohol issues causes problems, accidents, job loss etc. And not so easy to recover.
Film ending was good too. It doesn't have that "all ends perfectly" stuff like in usual romantic mmovies. Again they ended on happy but realistic note.
The Duff (2015)
surprisingly really nice movie
Sweet , short and simple story, never felt bored. Good acting by all.
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014)
apart from acting, that cinematography was just on higher level
The seamless camera movement was something on next level. I had to see the movie twice because first time I concentrated only on the camera movement.
The Only Living Boy in New York (2017)
fun and different movie
Loved the screenplay. Really like Thomas and Johhanna together. Kate is old but still gold.
Photograph (2019)
amazing movie, great acting
Most of it is covered by other reviews.. so go read them first . (Like seriously read them, my next paragraph depends on that)
As pointed by many reviews, they find it implausible that a topper about-to-be-a-CA girl would have anything to do with a poor slum dwelling photographer. They are pointing out where would this story go anyway.
But the movie is exactly pointing out that hypocrisy in us. Towards the end (well not really the end) the lead characters are seeing a similar superhit movie in a theater and wondering/guessing how would the movie end, which they left watching in middle for some reason (I am not going to tell the reason, watch the movie to know that)
If there have been movies in past with a much richer girl and much poorer boy falling in love, marrying, superhit movies which people have watched , believed, celebrated, why people are having so hard time believing this movie's story.
