Raccoon Valley (2018)
It was good enough to give this lover of scary movies the creeps
Ignore the cranky naysayers. There's always going to be trolls who love to bash things. The concept was interesting and rather unique. All I know is that I hope she and the cat were rescued.
F.E.A.R. (2021)
Some viewers are moaning and groaning
But give it a chance. As horror movies go it's not bad. It kept me entertained all the way through. It doesn't deserve all the criticism it's getting. It has action, scary parts and human pathos.
Curse of Aurore (2020)
Worst FF I've ever seen
I lost track of the number of times I considered turning it off but I kept hoping for something that would redeem it. I must be a masochist because I finished it. Only one of the three main characters was some you wouldn't absolutely hate. Amateur night for sure.
Red Dot (2021)
Won't watch something where a pet is killed.
Turned it off after I found out the dog is killed.
The Half Life of Timofey Berezin (2006)
Hang in there
If you read the reviews you will see that not everybody liked this movie but if you hang in there, close to the end you will see a scene that makes it all worthwhile.
The Wrong Babysitter (2017)
One of the worst films I have ever watched.
I finished it just to see how bad it would get and it didn't disappoint. It featured bad storyline, bad dialog, bad acting, and bad production all rolled into one. I have watched better segments on a weekly tv detective show many times. Seriously, unless you want to watch an hour and 29 minutes of disastrously amateurish film making find something else to do.
I, Daniel Blake (2016)
A depressing look at bureaucracy and the social saftey net
A sad commentary on how the working poor who fall on hard times through no fault of their own are treated by the government bureaucracy. The picture of the safety net bureaucracy is one that shows that the government program seems to exist more for the purpose of salving the conscience of the better offs and providing paychecks for the bureaucrats themselves rather than helping those in need. I think even the U.S. is better than this. But then maybe not.
Tinker' (2017)
Uplifting
A touching and heart-warming film which leaves you with good feelings about humanity.
Small Crimes (2017)
Film noir for today
A chuckle here and there but more of a dark tale of a irredeemably flawed character.
Murder on the Cape (2017)
Warning, rated 2.6 and deserves it.
And it's every bit as bad as one would expect for something rated 2.6.
Cam (2018)
Just some juvenile T & A
Watch it for that if you want. Otherwise it is a complete wast of time and I'm kicking myself for wasting my time on it.
