A must-see personal experience of the profound difficulties of living an artistic life.
26 April 2024
Josh Polon's "labor of love" to bring this story to screen was worth the wait. The interpersonal dynamics of a small indy production drive the compelling narrative of a SoCal video artist, who struggles with a myriad of issues, to try and make his way in the world, both as an artist and a person.

Remarkable and deeply personal exposé, as shot over an extended period of time, a singular vision clashes with the collaborative requirement of creating something from the energy and fire of the compelling artist.

An insightful commentary on the human cost of the artistic path, this small film deserves a larger audience.

Best. Show. EVER !!!

LOVE IT !

Love the cooking segments Love the weird products Love the non-stop overlapping banter between the hosts Love the raucous crowd on set and absolutely LOVE the adorable brown and white dog they often feature, that has those huge floppy ears

Must learn more about this dog!

Is she a professional acting dog?

Was she born to an elite couple of championship pure breeds?

Does she have a webpage, or fan club?

Is there merch with her face that I can purchase?

Is there ANYWAY I can get a tea mug with her face AND EARS ?

If so, are her ears fully extended?

If not, can I custom order one?

Is it possible to clone her?

Would give 10/10 if that cute wonderful dog was on every day!

More dogs!

fantastic, albeit slow film

If you're a fan of action movies, you will hate this. If you love film, and it's uncompromising ability to display the foibles of life, you will love this.

A remarkable work. The less you know going in the better.

Fantastic display that transcends the medium

Speechless. This episode works as an element of a larger piece (the series) yet stands on its own as a self contained story, with a beginning, middle and end.

Structured as a play w/multiple acts, that never breaks the fourth wall, the interstitial placards speak to the obvious, yet frame the emotional journey of the viewer and the players.

I didn't think the cast and crew would/could top last weeks silent episode but..... DAMN !

Started watching and couldn't stop. Binged the entire series, and have returned for more.

If you're a fan of MR SHOW, or THE MIGHTY BOOSH you'll love it.

completely worthless

Nonsense presented in an authoritarian form for gullible people. absolutely no supporting facts or sources for the many ludicrous claims of this shameful and slanderous POS. It's only redeeming factor is its bare-bones example of what attempts to pass as "journalism" in the age of the idiot-whisperer Trump. No bar is too low, no lie is too brazen for the producers of this film.

best movie I have seen in the last five years
29 May 2015
just walked out of opening night at Brooklyn Film Festival and this movie is fantastic. Its a simple but compelling story of two brothers who have drifted apart and the the twists and turns of life that bring them back in contact with each other. Nobody does the angst of relationships better then Team Duplass and obviously the director has absorbed the same sort of off-kilter spin they put on day to day foibles. I've Been a big fan of all the guys who made this for a few years but wow did they deliver. The director, Jay Davies, who also wrote the screenplay shows his chops and pulls great performances out of his cast The two stars of the film, Linus Phillips and Jay Duplass should absolutely win an MTV Movie Award for Best Couple. Also impressed with the editing of Nick Sherman but I'm a geek for technical stuff. a truly fantastic work -going back tomorrow night to watch it again
