H2: Kimi to itahibi (2005)
The exact amount of everything
In the past few months I have seen more Jdramas and Jmovies that I can actually count or even remember, but this one will stick in my mind. The beauty of this jdrama is that has the exact amount of everything: romance, drama, sport, friendship and comedy. It never get on your nerves or has those REALLY cheesy moments all fans of Jdramas really knows.
Hiro Kunimi was an ace pitcher in junior high school, until he was diagnosed by a doctor as having a "glass elbow"(user comment: what the...?!!). He gave up baseball and joined Senkawa Senior High School's soccer team. But then something happens that reignites his passion for baseball and he joins a baseball team managed by Haruka Koga. And he finds himself in a match against his old friend/rival Hideo Tachibana who has advanced to Meiwa No.1 High School. The meeting of the two is observed by Hideo's girlfriend Hikari Amamiya, who is also Hiro's childhood friend. Meanwhile, Haruka finds herself increasingly drawn towards Hiro, despite his being interested only in baseball. It's a story about high school students who dream of appearing at Koushien baseball tournament and young love. The director is Tsutsumi Yukihiko who brought us Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu and Keizoku. Tsutsumi, who is renown for extraordinary visual skills, makes use of the latest special effects techniques.
Very nice story, to enjoy while eating something (you0ll understand once you see it).
Children of Men (2006)
Exaxtly why I LOVE movies
I have to say it, I don't usually like Alfonso Cuaron's movies except for a few like A Little Princess, Great Expectations and Y tu mamá también but this movie make me feel different about him.
Children of Men is a MUST SEE, human kind cannot miss this movie. What I love most about this movie is that there is no virus, no aliens, no meteorite, nor external cause that is going to destroy humanity. Is US and nothing else who is putting in danger the future of humans.
Clive Owen is the perfect as Theo. I don't think anyone else could have done it better or more perfect in any way. And Julianne Moore is truly amazing too; Michael Caine (one of my favorites) is just brilliant in this movie, I love him... a true amigo for Theo, Julian and Kee.
Bones (2005)
So good that you are going to feel it in the bones
I love this show. I have to say, the pilot is not that good but keep on watching the episodes and I can assure you, you are gonna love it.
The character are really amazing and you can see them dealing with real life and their own "world of bones" at the same time. Zach is one of those character I don't really have much to say. Angie is really nice and at the same time I can't stand how she always seems to connect with the cases they are working on. To emotional. Hodgins has his own view of life and really wants to stay away from his family, so he spends most of the time at work... just like all the characters. Booth and Bones have an amazing chemistry together and exact opposites, but at the same time they are the same. Both of them, you can say, uses their work as a way to "fix" their personals issues.
About the cases, it's amazing how they always seem to solve them in the most amazing and clever ways, LOVE IT.
You have to see it.
Clarissa Explains It All (1991)
Clarissa Still Explains It All
Clarissa Explains It All is one of my favorites shows in my entire life and I have seen a LOT of them. I adore every minute of the series and every character... even Ferguson, the awful Ferguson. Melissa Joan Hart is really an amazing actress and as Clarissa she prove it... too bad, she hasn't had the movie carrer I wanted for her. Clarissa, rigth... one of my fav. characters is Sam. Clarissa's Best friend, who until the last episode didn't seem to know how to use the door. I don't remember much about her parentes except they were very, very funny. Clarissa is a MUST SEE to all children, teens and grown ups. Really the best show ever!!!
Cheats (2002)
I want to call my future son "Handsome"
I really like this movie. I was like doing nothing at home and I end up watching "Cheats" on HBO. I was sure it was going to be like just another teen movie, about 4 friends and high school, but I was actually shock to find out it's freaking amazing! I really, really love this movie. My favorite character is Handsome and his 3 friends are SO funny. Aplausse to Matthew Lawrence, his character, "Victor Barone" is one of the best characters I have seen in a long time, just love it. The ending is epic, just perfect.
Just like one of the users said here: "recommend to anyone who has schemed his way through higher education" by Niles. I agree 100%, totally a MUST SEE.
