Scream VI (2023)
5/10
A lot better than the last but still not great.

Warning: Spoilers
It's sad to say this but I really wanted Sam to be taken out by Ghostface. Actually, her and her sister can go. I'd rather watch the twins be the main characters in the next one if they're no longer going to center around Sydney. I'd even take a killer focused on Gale. But I can't handle those sisters.

Jenny Ortega is an ok actress but the person who plays Sam is painful to watch. I don't know if it's her or the director or the character, but either way, I'd be happy if the character was gone. I'll keep pretending the francise ended with Scream 3. Everything afterwards is milking it.

I did enjoy watching this Ghostface. He was agile and aggressive. But him not walking away with a concussion is a bit unbelievable. It worked when I was 10 years old watching Scream in '96. Now I'm trying to understand how he has zero bruising and swelling on his head after getting hit with various objects.

Nope (2022)

What was that? I'm so confused.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie made absolutely no sense. The alien wasn't even an alien. It's just a ship eating people. Then there was a killer chimpanzee in the beginning. He comes back midway but that whole storyline meant nothing to the overall movie and felt so random. I didn't care about any of the characters. I like the lead actor. He was really good in Get Out. But in this film he barely says anything and has the same facial expression throughout the entire film. The cinematography was nice. I think Jordan should focus on directing other people's work instead of his own. It's been a downward spiral since Get Out. Us was ok, but this is absolute garbage. One of the worst films of 2022. Another commenter said Jordan is the modern day M. Night Shyamalan and I can definitely see that.

Manifest (2018–2023)
6/10
It's kinda of boring.

I feel like every episode is the same. Is this about a plane that went missing and reappeared or is it a CSI episode mixed with a bunch of unnecessary drama? I tuned in hoping it would be more of a sci-fi mystery than a soap opera. If they would make the character interaction interesting instead of showing everyone constantly begging for acceptance it would be much better. They also need to focus more on the mystery and less on the sappiness.

The Gift (VI) (2015)
1/10
Similar to Old Boy just not as good.
10 October 2015
All throughout the movie I felt like I was watching a film that tried very hard to be like Old Boy. Like Old Boy, it's a story about the past coming back to haunt the main character. It has secrets that come to light throughout the story line. But unlike Old Boy, The Gift leaves you feeling disappointed in the end.

The only reason I didn't walk away from the film is because I was patiently waiting for the mind blowing secret to be revealed. Unfortunately that secret never came. Although there are secrets that come to light in the film, none of them are mind blowing or even shocking. The ending was also boring and if you've ever seen a movie before you'll see it coming from a mile away. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone and have no idea how it got 7.5/10 stars.

Scream Queens (2015–2016)
6/10
This show is not for adults.
22 September 2015
I'm 29 years old and I could tell within the first 25 minutes that this was not made for my age group. I was excited to watch Scream Queens because I'm a huge horror fan. And with Supernatural getting old, The Walking Dead not being my cup of tea, and my lack of love for American Horror Story I figured I might have finally found a horror series I can cling to. WRONG!

This series is about b**tches being b**tches towards helpless nerds. We've seen this so many times before. It's played out. It's not funny. It's boring. And it makes the show appear down right juvenile. I understand what they're trying to do. They're trying to be Clueless meets Scream, meets Mean Girls, meets Scary Movie but it ain't working. It comes across as try hard and obnoxious. I think I laughed twice out of the entire 2 hour special although they attempted to be funny numerous times and failed.

If I were a 15 year old girl then I think I "might" would be able to appreciate this. But I'm not. I'm a grown woman who has real life problems and I can't view this unrealistic world or these annoying characters as entertaining. I only gave it two stars because the lawnmower scene was funny.
