Pure cinema

This is an absolute classic. Raj Shetty is an amazing director, script writer, lyricist and now an actor. The BGM is very good and lifts the movie to another dimension. The acting is very subtle and dialogs are crisp. Focus on the dialogs so that you can reason out the events at later stage of the movie. All the best to the team for providing such a movie to Kannada audience. I am sure this will take Kannada film industry to another level.

One of the best webseriers

Pawan is very talented director and he has delivered a good content again. He has been supportive of good content in Kannada, be it ondu motteya kathe or ikkat. The subject of time loop is very sensitive to handle, with so many repeated scenes and audience get bored easily. Pawan has managed it well by adding twists in every loop, and also adding a hint that will finally solve the puzzle (not in full though). Waiting for 2nd season eagerly.

A wonderful journey
4 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I was desperately waiting to watch this movie and I wanted to catch up on first day itself (managed it but 15 mins late to the cinema hall). The first half has more of thriller and the story start to unfold with the mystery at the interval. The second half starts with uncovering the mystery and lots of twists and turns in the story that keep you at the edge of the seat. The songs are rich and neatly shot, two songs almost back to back could have been avoided in second half (the pace somewhat loses there). The investigative part is good and keeps you guessing between super-natural things (guddada bhoota, angaraka, bramha rakshasa) and someone doing it for a reason. The climax is neatly shot and Sai Kumar performance is amazing especially at the climax fight! If you are looking for a neat entertainer with mystery, thriller elements then go for it!

Different narration style
2 April 2014
Hats off to Rakshith Shetty for delivering this product. KFI is changing big time over last two years, thanks to the fresh faces, stories, narration, direction. Ulidavaru Kandante (UK) excels in all the departments, the movie is a experience that one should go through and it makes you think which is very important. As someone said "A movie should not haunt you while watching, it should haunt you post watching" and UK falls in that. Acting wise everyone has done justice to the role, of them I like the acting of Thara and Achyuth Kumar the most. Achyuth Kumar is a very fine actor and now people are realizing his potential. I hope to see more movies with Achyuth Kumar with new comers. Overall, the movie is a great experience and I suggest every one who love "cinema" should watch this.

Must watch movie for all!
15 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I would like to congratulate the Lucia team for giving us a wonderful movie. Lucia is a must watch movie for all and it parallels the top movies of the world, however done with very limited budget (~$10,000). Pawan has shown again that a movie with strong story, tight screen play, crisp and timely dialogs are the key for success of a movie. He has also tapped the audience in Kannada who want to see movies that makes them think (Hollywood being global industry already has this market, but its new to Kannada). Lucia is all about dreams. We will all have ambitions, success, failures, emotions in the reality that transfers to our dream. What if your dreams are co-related over time like reality? What if you have one more life in your dream where you can create characters parallel to reality and interact with them differently? If this happens can you differentiate between a real life and dream life - based on famous saint Kanakadasa "Are you in a dream or dream is with in you". Finally, what if you start feeling that you only want to live in dream life? The answer is Lucia!
