Excellent Drama
24 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is an excellent intense drama with intricate twists and turns. Usually I can see where things are going, but I didn't see the Alice connection until almost the last episode before it was revealed. Twists are tightly guarded and you don't always get it right away. Throughout the series I have often gone back a few moments to catch something that I missed. I did however catch a little detail in this episode. Emily enters the fundraiser with a gorgeous black lace dress and a white fur jacket slung over her right shoulder but leaves with a black coat. Could be she just grabbed whatever was handy since they were evacuating because she pulled the fire alarm, however, earlier when she is climbing across the outside of the balcony she clearly has no shoes on, but once inside the room you can hear the sound of high heeled footsteps. Someone goofed there!

Entertaining, But.........
23 March 2020
Definitely entertaining, but certainly not true to history. I understand taking "poetic" license, and embellishing a mix of fiction based on fact, but they really stretched for this one. This is the kind of production that spurs me into deeper research and finding the truth of the story. I found the use of the National Emblem March in episode 8's military parade to be amusing. I hardly think and French would use a march composed by the US Air Force for the United States in their parades. Somebody didn't do their homework, but then, who knows. Nonetheless, it is entertaining and the costumes are excellent.

Hart & Dixie Likable Storyline
28 February 2019
I like the story like, kind of predictable but not obnoxious. Not sure who was in charge of costumes, but they obviously have never spent time in the south in the summer, NO ONE wears a sweater or a jacket and scarf in 90 degree weather in the south, because I can guarantee if the temp is 90 the humidity is 85%. Maybe a sweater inside in the AC but you won't see people wearing coats, ties, scarves and such outside! I just wish there was some continuity. Mother dressed as if there is a wind chill while her son is in shorts. Just Silly!

Entertaining but far from accurate!
19 December 2015
Aside from the costumes being updated to prom dresses as someone pointed out, and which is a sad disappointment for me, at no time did Mary Queen of Scots have ladies named Lola, Kenna, etc. Her ladies were ALL named Mary. Mary Fleming, considered chief among them by reason of her mother's royal blood, Lady Fleming; Mary Seton daughter of a French woman, Marie Pieris, who herself had been maid-of-honor to Marie of Guise, and of George, 6th Lord of Seton; Mary Beaton, daughter of Robert Beaton of Creich and grand-daughter of Sir John Beaton, the hereditary keeper of Falkland Palace, and finally Mary Livingston, daughter of Mary Stuart's guardian, Lord Livingston.

At best this is an intriguing story about a girl whose name happens to be Mary Queen of Scots with very little accuracy to the historical woman of the same name.

Waste of time!
13 April 2012
This was a big waste of time, nothing but adults arguing over their kids. The only other movie I've see that was nothing but arguments was Glen Gary Glen Ross another big waste of time. I don't understand why grown people enjoy watching others in awkward situations escalate to all out arguments and name calling. Not to mention that the one father who is a lawyer never makes any mention of legal issues regarding the involvement of his son. I thought that rather odd. Certainly not what I call entertainment. Jodie Foster & Kate Winslet are two very talented actresses, it's a shame they wasted their time on this movie. I wish I had known more about the movie before I spend time and money on it. Roman Polanski doesn't usually make these kind of stinkers!
