The Beekeeper (2024)
Stathamesque
Straightforward entertainment. A mindless romp filled w great actors acting simply. I was looking for an escape. I have to also state that had the actors not nailed the intimate moments, it would not have worked. I will also write that I would have enjoyed more screen time for Ms. Rashad and Jason. Casting everyone's perfect mom was wonderful. I wanted more. Further, the motivating factors were not developed, more of a - here eat this - kinda thing. I'd of enjoyed more backstory that may have informed her character's actions. Stunts were awesome, great choreography and acting overall. One guy played his personality disorder versus being, but it didn't interfere to much. I thought he missed a great opportunity. Looking forward to Beekeeper 2!
In from the Cold (2022)
Give it a Go!
Levieva et al do an admirable job of carrying this series forward. The action sequences are equally endearing. The story line and some of the supporting cast (less skilled players stood out) must have been a heavy lift for the lead and her 2 sidekicks. I hope they don't shelve the project based on some of these reviews. The Russian contingent was solid as well but again weighed down by dialogue and a story line that dragged behind. I earnestly watched them all, admittedly napping through some of the storylines, only to awake with no problem connecting the predictable story. The Spanish players need not try so hard but again, that was a lot to carry.
I'd say return to the states, our fractured community is ripe for an undercover kick ass woman and her men. Or Canada, that community offers diverse skilled supporting cast options and top notch production teams.
FBI: International (2021)
Questionable rationale and execution
I was prompted to write this review by the blatant disregard for authenticity, followed by the contrived moments in the Nov.16 2021 episode. I'm surprised given the production team and network who pride themselves on the writing and performances. Suspending reality is something I as the audience am ready to do. To be shocked back into my living room due to ridiculous storylines was disappointing. The only believable characters are the coffee guy and the 3 & 4 leads. The couple boss and girlfriend is not working or believable, at all. I suggest watching Chicago PD, at least they own their corruption and the characters appear believable. Now that's entertainment!
Reservation Dogs (2021)
Makes me smile
If you've been on the Rez, you'll laugh and cry. If you've been around those who've lived on the Rez or have no idea what a Rez is, you'll laugh and cry. If you don't laugh and cry, turn off the TV, and ask yourself "what's my freakin' problem!"

Good news, Jennifer returns. Believed in the love of family, the fear of loss, the frenetic fight for right, and righteous regulation of the wrong.
