Mal de blocs (1991)
Nice one
This is a very short movie about the notion of point of view in a political context. This movie is hard to find, but if you find it, you can spend at least two minutes looking at it, and 1 hour to think about it. This movie would deserve to be discussed in philosophy classes, or humanities. This movie is simply "short and sweet". Good music, nice characters, nice colors, good messages. In 1991, this movie was showed at the famous Cannes festival. It was nominated for best "short movie". It didn't win, but I guess it fully deserved its nomination. This movie has been presented in the Namur festival (Belgium) too. Then, we can see how "universal" this movie is.
Les invincibles (2005)
So great!
A great program about the real life of men around the 30 y.o. By signing a pact, they swear to be themselves, free and young in a cruel world dominated by feminism and to taste to many kind of pleasures and experiences. Then "Les Invincibles" makes a funny parallel with super heroes, transposing their "real life story" into a comic strip.
"Les Invincibles" presents 4 kind of guy: the rational (PA), the explorer (Steve), the artist (Rémi) and the submitted (Carlos). Among theirs adventures and discoveries, we feel the value of friendship, solidarity and pride. We also remember how women are complicated;) I've seen all the episodes and I'm proud to be a male! Les Invincibles rules!
