Gary and His Demons (2018)
The most underrated comedy of the century
I can't believe there are less than 2000 reviews on IMDB! Every single episode of this show made me pee myself I laughed so hard. HIMYF got a second season and this didn't? What is wrong with the world? I still have hope this gets blown up on TikTok and GenZ forces Netflix to pick it up. This is so so funny and the only downside is there are not enough episodes. What can I say more? Just watch it. If you don't laugh you are dead inside and there's nothing we can do for you. If you did - write a review, write to your MP to your senator, ask them to make this a priority. I can't imagine anything being more important.
Glamorous (2023)
Cringe and the city
I was really looking forward to another guilt free TV but this was so bad I had to stop watching after 15min. The writing is bad, the acting is worse and every interaction feels so awkward.. Kim Cattral is a decent actress, but her character has zero dimensions. And the main actor is just every Gay-Boy cliché in the book. If it was just boring I would have kept on watching at least for the full first episode, but it was so cringy I just couldn't make it past the first 15min. They couldn't have made it more awkward if they tried... No wonder the show didn't get any promotion on Netflix's social media, no one is proud about this one.
Meet Cute (2022)
Just plain boring
No one loves a romantic comedy more than I do. And yes, this one has a very unique twist. Unlike the classic it's not "they hate each other and then fall in love", it actually has a very original plot. However, just like the plot, we also get to experience the same night over and over - for no less than an hour (!!) Until something changes. An hour of seeing their date again anf again with little changes, how is that interesting to anyone? They could have shortened it to 20/30min and moved on with the plot, but I guess they needed to fill 1.5 hours? I couldn't spoloit for you because I just didn't stick after the 1 hour - don't know how it ended and I don't care.
Don't Worry Darling (2022)
Fantastic film, don't listen to the reviews
I have never watched a more underated film! I don't understand the reviews it's absolutely fantastic. It has it all - a super interesting story with lots of twists, great acting, visuals and really everything you want from a night at the cinema. Don't listen to the reviews, I almost skipped it but it was actually my husband that said "let's just go". We both loved it and I think it's worth watching in the cinema. There wasn't a dull moment, we really sat at the edge of our seats the whole time. People complain about the ending but I thought it was brilliant. I'll actually watch it again to see if I can spot all the clues.
Nope (2022)
Gave up after 45min
It was just so long and pointless. We gave up after 45min and read the rest of the plot on Wiki and realized we did the right thing. Like a low budget horror film from the 90's with no actual direction or anything smart/interesting to say. If you're bored 30min in I suggest quite because it doesn't get better. I need to keep writing because otherwise it wouldn't let me publish the review but honestly I have nothing smart to add - just like this movie. It's a shame because Get Out is one of my favourite horror films, and US was OK (started really well and lost a little direction). I watched this one at home because of the reviews and good thing I did.
Life & Beth (2022)
One of the best TV Shows of 2022
No sure what the bad reviews are about - but I know Schumer has a lot of haters so that's probably it. This is a show about friendships, family, love, mental health and much more. It's funny and sad and just really really good.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
Couldn't even finish the first episode
Boring, not funny, bad acting and what is it with sitcoms and the fake laugh? Can we move passed it already? It's really unnecessary, I don't need a fake audience to let me know when it's time to laugh (although with this show maybe I do...)
Spencer (2021)
Stewart is great but this movie is boooooring
I watched it all the way through because my mum wouldn't let me switch it off, but honestly it was so boring she even fell asleep. The idea is great but the execution is just terrible.
Pig (2021)
Beautiful little film
If you're looking for a mystery/action movie, look elsewhere. This is a beautiful little film about love and lost. Nicholas Cage delivers a powerful performance, like the good old days.
tick, tick...BOOM! (2021)
Has something anyone would enjoy
I'm not a fan of Garfield but he's absolutely spectacular in this film. I watched it with my husband and our friend (each of us has very different taste in movies) and we all really enjoyed it, so I'd recommend it to anyone.
The Chair (2021)
Finally a good netflix show
Netflix have been producing so much crap lately I almost didn't tune to this one. I'm glad I did. The acting is superb and the plot actually says something, like has a point (unlike so many other shows)
Promising Young Woman (2020)
Everything you in a movie
An interesting plot that makes you think, great acting, drama, comedy, action, what else could you ask for?
Dark Places, Deadly Illusions (2021)
It's the acting for me
How did nobody stop Kristin Davis when she was filming the first scene and just said: please stop. Please. Go home. Please, this is terrible.
Ginny & Georgia (2021)
Boring, predictable and poor acting
We've seen this plot all too many times, but usually it's made better. And don't get me started on the "mum's" acting... Like a caricature of a southern simple woman.

Firefly Lane (2021)
A beautiful story about friendship
One of the best shows I've seen in years, it really has everything you want from a well told story: drama, comedy, love and friendship. I bet a lot of men won't watch it thinking it's a "women's show" but I hope they give it a chance. Just because for once there are women in the lead doesn't mean it can't be appealing to everyone

Widows (2018)
Great Action-Thriller
I can only assume that the bad reviews are from men who are unable to give a movie led by women more than a 3* review. Both me and my husband really enjoyed this film, it has drama, action, twists and some A list actors who can pick and choose what they appear in (so you can assume they'll go for the best). Don't listen to the reviews just start watching and you won't be able to stop.
Death to 2020 (2020)
Funny and entertaining
Satirical spin on 2020 events is exactly what we needed. Not recommended for Trump supporters
The Undoing (2020)
So so boring
Great actors my expectations were so high that I kept on watching although I was literally bored the whole time. Other than the first episode it was terrible throughout.
What's Your Number? (2011)
My favourite rom-com
This is the best rom-com of all times. If you're sick of stupid premises that just don't make sense (oh you have black hair and I have brown hair we can never ever be together) please watch this one. It's funny and clever and dare I say it: feminist!
Relic (2020)
Listen to the reviews
This movie is boring, isn't really scary and as other reviews mentioned it's a simplistic metaphor you can summarise in 5 words. Don't bother watching.
I See You (2019)
Old school thriller
They don't make them like this anymore. If you like a good thriller (not horror) with multiple twists that would keep you on edge, look no further
It Follows (2014)
One of the best horror films ever
Has a smart plot, well executed and it is creepy as hell! I love horror films and this is one of my favourites
Insidious (2010)
So badly made, not scary at all
Like a movie made by poor students who did their best with low budget make up, effects and customs and out of sync BOO!
