Surviving Picasso (1996)
Possibly the worst movie i've ever seen
i absolutely hated this film! having no interest in art, this film only held the interest that it had two of my favourite actors in it, Anthony Hopkins, and Julianne Moore. But although their performances may have been good, the film lacked in interest for me. Although my expectations of the film were high, maybe higher than they should have been, but those expectations were crushed some what. The film wasn't badly directed, acted (apart from the lead lady) or in any way, i general bad movie for those who are interested in those sorts of things. But the film really did generally bore me to death and i couldn't wait for it to end. If you are an art fan, you may enjoy this, if not, then i doubt this film will hold any interest to you.
The X Files (1993)
Loved it...until series 9. *contains spoilers*
I loved this show to bits, but i stopped watching at the end of series 7, because Mulder went missing. I went and bought 'The Truth', the last ever episode, and i did like it, but i did not like series 8 or 9. I recently bought a box-set of DVD's for series 6, my favourite series and love it, although i'm not really a fan of the 'to be continued' ones, i prefer the one of episodes, but i do love Dreamland, and Dreamland 2. i do recommend the show to any one who likes the paranormal, unexplained etc, probably up until series 8. Mulder is a great character, with the odd stupidity. Scully, was a great character until she had the baby and then she became rather weak, unlike the way she used to be.
Halloweentown (1998)
With most films there's a flaw...
But the flaw in this film ruined it. The a is just awful, overacted in some parts, but just not enough in some parts. The storyline is just so typical teenage film and the film is just terribly predictable. The blossoming romance between Luke an lead girl ruined it terribly. But i guess for kids its an OK film, I just found it just so corny and cheesy. I know it is just a TV movie i'm not really surprised by this because i really could not imagine something so awful in the cinemas especially amidst films that include the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Julianne moore, and George Clooney. If you're under 10, it'll make a great viewing for you, but if you're over 11, i wouldn't bother.
