Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Definitely felt like 1984...
This movie had the feel of 1984, cause that's when superhero movies were terrible. Reminded me of Superman III, Superman IV and Supergirl. Same terrible plot. Horrible pacing. Ridiculous villains. Patty Jenkins did a great Richard Lester impression.
Clue (1985)
Frankly Scarlet, i don't give a damn
There are two types of people in this world. Ones who think Clue is well acted, witty and always maintaining the pace. And complete shills who know nothing about good movies. From the cast to the story and countless great lines, this film will always remain an underrated gem. The reason it never reached higher acclaim upon release was a terrible marketing decision to release three different versions with each of the endings. Had they released the version shown today and it would have been a huge hit. Judge for yourself, but if you don't at least get a handful of chuckles, check your pulse.
You Should Have Left (2020)
Hollywood keeps spitting out trash
Poor Kevin Bacon. Blumhouse had truly added some absolute duds to its collection between this, Fantasy Island and Ma. Did they forget what horror was? The scariest thing in this movie is 61-year-old Bacon and 34-year-old Amanda Seyfried, who should just simply give acting up. The pace is sloooooow, the story has been done before and better in basically the same type of plot as What Lies Beneath. It's just trash. Skip it and call it another reason to hate 2020.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Ignore the trolls, people
I've never seen as many whiny Star Wars fanboys on one website in my life. It's like a bunch of 8-year-olds fell in love with Phantom Menace and Jar-Jar and grew up to be Hayden Christensen-like Anakin Skywalkers. Holy cow. Get off the soapbox, folks. You're full of nonsense.
This movie is a STAR WARS movie. It has everything a Star Wars movie should have. Characters, dialogue, action, humor. Forget the pattern to a New Hope. It is essentially a song cover of Episode IV when it comes to plot. However, we tend to forget that history repeats itself and that's as much of the Star Wars canon as anything. The characters drive the story. And we want to know where they will go from here. I guarantee Episode 8 will take them somewhere we haven't seen before. But any trilogy needs a setup in the first act. It was right for J.J. to make the first one a bit of deja vu, as if the Force was putting the pieces in place for history to repeat itself again. It's a tribute to what made Star Wars a phenomenon back in 1977.
Is it perfect? Heck, no. Does it bring out more emotion than any of the prequels? Absolutely. I was 10 when I saw Return of the Jedi and it's the first time I actually felt for any character in the Star Wars canon since 1983. Go see the movie and stop reading nonsense reviews ... including this one.
Go form your own opinion. You'll thank me afterward.
