Behind the Curve (2018)
Teach, don't belittle!
I thought this documentary was a fantastic insight into the flat earth theory. It gives flat earthers a voice and we get to delve into how it started and why it's believed by so many. However, 99.9% of people should come away from this knowing that the earth is indeed a sphere. But I was intrigued and enjoyed trying to understand their side of the argument, it's just a shame it's built on zero conclusive evidence. So why do so many believe this? I believe the cause is now clearly about much more than the flat earth theory, there's a community that's been built and people feel welcomed and accepted. Although I can't help but feel they're being exploited by people like Mark Sargent, he evidently loves the fame and it seems there's money to be made. I guess there's nothing wrong with liking fame and building a business, but this seems like a bit of a scam and that doesn't sit well with me personally. Back to the doc, there are multiple tests that are performed during the film that disprove the flat earth theory but I liked that it wasn't so patronising. Even the astronomers/physicists on the opposite side were respectful in the way they spoke about flat earthers and their psychology. I think overall the documentary teaches that we must not belittle and disown flat earthers, but instead try and teach. If you meet a flat earther, listen to and hear them. Then perhaps ask their thoughts on the Gyro test, or the other tests. Debate and if they don't change their minds, that's okay!
Batman and Harley Quinn (2017)
A comedic take on a DC animated film!
First things first, DO NOT take this film seriously, it doesn't take itself seriously so neither should you. Just go into it with an open mind and expect some laughs! It had me smiling through most of it, I thought it was a bit of a feel good film. It's like marmite, you'll either love it or you'll hate it. Give it a try!
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)
I don't understand the negative reviews
Original story set in an alternate universe, Batman meets victorian London. I liked the twist also. Good voice acting and nice animation style! Just give it a try!
Paddington (2014)
Heartwarming
Charming and hilarious! Beautifully British, very lovable characters!
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
The anti-friends!
This show is very funny and enjoyable. Not every episode is perfect and nor is it lol a minute, but has great characters who show the worst of humans. I've rewatched it over and over. Recommended if you like darker humour!
Aunty Donna's Big Ol' House of Fun (2020)
These guys offer something different in humour!
This is not mainstream comedy, and it may not be for everyone! But hats off for trying to do something new in the industry, for me it worked successfully and I laughed so much. I really recommend this show for people who are looking for something different rather than the usual big bang theory, how I met your mother type shows. I love aunty donna now!
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Mac Finds His Pride (2018)
