Voyagers (2021)

A much better movie than the reviews suggest.

The movie is not a 10/10. It is not perfect. But it deserves more than a 5.4.

The 1st half drags a little bit. But with the introduction and Colin's presence, the scenes held my interest.

The 2nd half is much more interesting. The action is fun to watch. Most of the performances are good. Some of the background acting falls flat though. But Tye, Lilly, Fionn are good, young actors. Tye and Lily have fun chemistry that make the 2nd half worth watching.

Ignore the reviews and go with an open mind.

He is adorable and incredibly talented

I dont actually think it is a solid ten. Maybe an 8, definitely a 7. But I wanted to rate it high to offset the low scoring. Which I dont understand. There were problems in the special - sometimes the punchline would not be there, his overuse of "stupid", and the not so solid ending. I couldn't stop laughing though. Adam has a positive energy about him and he is thoroughly entertaining. It was enjoyable from start to finish. I feel bad for the people that dont get the humor and didnt like it. Clearly we weren't watching the same thing.

A charming film with a charming cast

I saw it the 2nd time a few days later and it was even better. Cleverly written, great scenery, funny lines and gags, etc. The movie wont win awards but it is sure to win some hearts. It is a wonderful Anti Rom-Com in a Rom-Com. Go see it and then review the movie. It is needs a higher rating!

P.S. Rebel Wilson shines here and proves she has acting chops.

Rebel, Liam, Adam, Priyanka - Oh My!!
18 February 2019
I have been waiting to see this film since I read about filming in May of 2017. The premise seemed fun and the cast was the highlight. I was not disappointed.

The movie is clever, well written, fun, and overall sweet - with a great message. My cynical hubby - who despises Rom-Coms - actually enjoyed it.

The movie, however, it is not without its flaws. We both wished that the ending was fleshed out more and that some of the side stories had more completion to them (like Betty Gliplin's Whitney).

All of the cast is great - especially Rebel and Adam - whose chemistry is Pitch Perfect. It is nice to see Rebel Wilson playing the leading lady and toning her comedy down. She stands out here for obvious reasons. The true standout though is Brandon Scott Jones, who plays Donnie. He takes the character to another level.

Overall, this is such a fun and funny movie. Dont think about it and just go see the movie at the theaters. You will come out feeling good.
