The Handmaid's Tale: Liars (2019)
Just watched this and now rewatching
It's that great of an episode. I loved the Serena and Fred screentimes. Seeing them break their rules, share some feelings we haven't seen them share to each other and then BAM all betrayal, it was a rollercoaster. And of course seeing June be the strong woman she is defending herself in a terrifying moment and really taking control of everything is just poetic. I cannot get enough, thank you for this episode!
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
I Feel Cheated
GRRM himself said this shouldn't be the final season. Knowing they were going to have the battle with the walkers and NK, and overthrowing the throne in just 6 episodes already showed how compacted this season would be but the writing of this season is awful.
Why didn't they just kill Eruon in the fleet? That scene was unnecessary for an unnecessary character.
They've been showing Dany's dark side for a while now, but the manner they made her take Kings Landing was heartbreaking. This isn't the Dany we've seen grow from everything she's been through and in 7 seasons is created to be this merciful character all to be a mad queen. It just doesn't sit right with me.
Jon has been doing absolutely nothing in this season.
The Cersei we all know would have had some kind of escape plan, she just waited and watched in defeat. Someone who would do any evil thing to protect their kid, now just waits to be killed? That's not Cersei.
Cersei. The common enemy since season 1 episode 1, dies by falling rocks? No one feels justice.
Jaime, they have spent 7 seasons building this character that I've really grown to love. Making promises and fighting for the right people all for not. The writers adding his fling with Brienne in this season just made it a stupid romance scene and threw away all of Jaime's character development.
Where is the "Game" in Game of Thrones in this? I really feel like D&D couldn't think of anything clever so they opted for CGI and neat theatrical scenes.
I feel like there's so much more to say. I just feel cheated.
American Horror Story: Return to Murder House (2018)
AS A HARDCORE FAN I THANK YOU
I have never written a review before, and I can't go on without giving this episode the credit it deserves. Murder House is hands down my favorite season, and I'm sure most fans of AHS can agree, and I have always wanted more, especially more story lines and answers. Boy was this everything I could ask for and more. I got to see Tate again, Constance, and most of our favorite characters from the first season. We got answers about the demon child they showed briefly at the end of season one. Oh and Tate and Violet finally have a beautiful conclusion. I'm honestly just on cloud 9 after this episode. Huge shout out to everyone who was involved, as a hard core fan, I thank you!
