10 out of 10 Musical Proudly Filipino Made :)
1 November 2013
I don't know how to start this but I just watched it. I didn't watch it in Cinemas because I never know this will be the kind of musical movie that I will expect but I regret it and also because we didn't have Musical Type Movie before but then This is a Success. If this movie will have PART 2. I will be the number one in the line..

Also, the first movie came out of my mind when I watched this movie is Mamma Mia. Next, Rock of Ages because of the part of Neil Coleta(Brent) If you will watch the movie. The part that the song "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" but not the exactly just reminded me. He is just funny to be that. Lastly, "High School Musical" the basketball part "Put your head in the Game". Then I read a review from 3xHCCH. Yeah, I'm surprised that the director is really inspired from "Mamma Mia".

If you are a fan of many musical films you will know why. My Standard of the Filipino movies really gone high because of this movie. I never know it will end up like this.

The cast are very good. Each Cast has a highlight. Nobody is left behind. You will say that "If one is not around, the movie will not be good" I can't express myself very well but the thing I want to say. The whole cast is a PACKAGE. Character is just compatible to every cast. The "Awit ng Barkada" scene with Eugene, Frenchie and Sweet reminded me of the song "Chiquitita" number from "Mamma Mia". Eugene Domingo and Ogie Alcasid. I like them great comedian especially the part of "Di na natuto." Gary Valenciano and Zsa Zsa Padilla are really good artist/singer. I cannot explain much about the couples but I really love them very much. The "Salawikain" part is amusing also. It is like Hollywood musical film. It is cute cause everybody has given a part of the piece. As the lovers, Sam Concepcion and Tippy dos Santos have a good chemistry in their scenes. The duets always reminds me of "Rock of Ages" cause they're cute. "Panalangin" and "Ewan" of them (TWO THUMBS UP). Tippy dos Santos voice sounds like "Julianne Hough" of Rock of Ages but the Local Version. I never know her not because of this movie but I think I like her. Sam Concepcion is my idol cause my mother always say I look like him. Back to him, He is a good actor and singer and dancer. APO Hiking Society songs are great and the songs match with each scene. Some scene are predictable but surprise because it is new to me.

The movie is brilliant, amazing and superb. If you ask me If I will gonna watch that movie again. I will answer is "YES! YES! YES!" The movie caught my attention the whole time. If you want the fun and a little heart touching moments. I will recommend this.

The only not so good part here is the early pregnancy. The children might think it is good to have a child in early age and also the eloping part that others may not understand but nevermind this is a great musical movie. hahaha..

--Highly recommended film.

Great
17 May 2013
This is a great movie for all ages especially for family. I recommend this kind of movie. You'll wait every scene. What will happen. It is very light to watch but have a great impact on viewers..Better watch it. You will learn something and it's worth to watch. You'll not get bored. It's not a waste of time believe me or not. All my friends and relatives who watched this movie. They began to love it too. Everything was natural. It looks like real. Not Over-lighting.

Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton acting as parents are just right for them. They act naturally not overacting. I thought Jennifer Garner will not fit this kind of movie but she did it. I thought she will be an Elektra to my eyes forever. HAHA. CJ Adams is a cute boy. He is a good child actor. Hope to see him in other movies.

I Love Les Miserables
8 May 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This is my First Review.

Great Actors and Actresses but I think some of them don't suit the musical/piece.

I'm a big fan of Hugh Jackman & Anne Hathaway and also Russell Crowe & Amanda Seyfried. Hugh Jackman - i love almost all the movies. I guess a challenge for him to sing while acting. Anne Hathaway - is better in Ella Enchanted. She is a big WOW for me when she dance and sing there. I guess depends on the Director or what. Eddie Redmayne - have a nice voice but not much expressive.

WORST: - The cameraman/camera dept. very bad and disappointing and also Actors and Actresses must have their music coach. - Lack of expressions/ movements while doing some musical parts but not all. - Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen is better than the main cast in this movie. - I Dreamed a Dream part ~ CAMERA "NO MOVEMENTS AROUND THE PLACE or AROUND FANTINE" and FANTINE lack of expressing or the place is too small for her. So Sad and dull. - When arresting Fantine(Anne) Then the Mayor(Hugh) come near to her. "The Camera" ~ Why don't you just stop moving. darn!

Not that I'm not with this movie. The previous theatrical Les Miserables. Especially, When I watched the Les Miserables w/ Lea Salonga. Maybe, I just expect more in the movie part cause it is not live.

PROS: I love some musical parts. The thing is "It is just not consisted." Sometimes, it is wonderful. It makes me cry also when the time Eponine was shot. Saves the man who doesn't love her back. I just want main cast to be more highlighted.

I love to watch more the musical of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" not with the Bloody things. HAHA.. Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and the other cast have a great voice. They express well the lyrics of their song. You know and feel what they are saying.

Anyway, still a Good Job. It is really hard to create musical. :)
