Sleeves (2013)
Sleeves - a bold review
Very good performances! Millions of views on YouTube yet not many reviews on this short fearless film. Jess Taylor, George Ambrose and Kris Smith star in Sleeves, a story about self harming and keeping secrets from those we protect and from their perspective. It's a gripping drama that resolves at the end and makes you care about the characters. George Ambrose has made a type of Woody Allen film that he stars, directs, writes, produces and always makes sure he's in front of the camera. He must always has a lady on screen too. Good film though! There should be more simple yet effective films like these.
Amityville Karen (2022)
We need to speak to the managers
This is so disappointing to me specifically, I have been looking forward to watching Amityville Karen for so long and this is so bad?! Why is that? It's really not anything. There's occasionally a funny line but this is 104 minutes (and so much of it is nonsense it could have easily been cut to 70 mins) and 90% of the jokes fall flat, not to mention Karen is horrible at being an actual Karen - half of the time she sounds so unsure of what she's saying and I think she was just ad-libbing? She isn't good at it!!! I am so upset. How could they do this to me. I want to talk to Shawn C Philip's manager.
