Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
It's a pity I cannot give it 1 star. IMDB is not honest site anymore.
If you gave this title less than 2 stars - your comment/review will be removed from the overall opinion. So, yes, I think my review will be removed as well.
I hoped to see good movie, because good actors were still in the list of the actors, but... No... It was the worst sci-fi movie I've ever seen, even if it's Star Wars - and I love Star Wars as a fanatic (except Ewoks and Jar Jar.).
This whole movie is a scum, it's so bad from the start that scum is good name for it. It's so bad... so Ewoks: Caravan of Courage will be good Star Wars movie for you.
For me, whole Star Wars theme died with this s...ty production. It's end, it's over, it's just murder. You decide who should be hung for it, but Star Wars is no more. Disney killed our beloved world.
I do not want to comment whole movie, you can find it everywhere: Horrible scenario, horrible direction, anything but good story... I do understand why actors where angry... This is cheap, mass production for very small children. Why it was released? My idea is - it's Disney - "star wars" will sale, no matter what. Mrs. Kennedy ruined whole Star Wars world, fortunately, we do not have to look at Disney painful diarrhea.
Disney Corp. killed Star Wars and the last word was "The Last Jedi". It's so bad that Mrs. Kennedy should be hanged for it.
In short - if you want to see it - see it, but do not pay for it. And do not go to cinemas to see Star Wars IX - we were scummed already.
Bad screenplay, bad actors, bad idea, horrible post-production (just cheapest possible), horror for Star Wars fans.
R.I.P. Star Wars. Sell more Ewoks.
The Zero Theorem (2013)
Wonderful movie, I was waiting long time for the gem worth Brazil...
I had to write this. When I read idiotic reviews - I'm furious - usually the same people comment Monthy Python, Jabberwocky, Tideland, Doctor Parnassus - DC comics fans. Why do you comment if you don't understand movies like: Delicatessen, Brasil, Jabberwocky, City of Lost Children, Dodesukaden or Basron Munhausen??
I was waiting decades for movie made from start to the end by Terry Gilliam and his imagination alone! Brazil is the only movie I love more. if you love similar kind of art - please, look for works of Jean-Pierre Jeunet or... well, I can name a few people, but there is noone even close to Terry Gilliam and Jeunet...
I was dissapointed when I saw "Brothers Grimm", I was happy to see "Tideland" and "Dr. Parnassus" (very good movie - I love it), but I was back in 1985, when I saw "The Zero Theorem"... This is true, fantascic, beautiful, wise sequel to Brazil - my beloved movie of all times.
I do not want to say what you gonna do or what's good or not - this is only your own opinion.
In short - if you love Brazil, Delicatessen, Blade Runner, City of Lost Children, movies by Akira Kurosawa, Jean-Pierre Jeunet or even Tim Burton (the most "freaky" ones; like "Corpse Bride" or "Nightmare before Christmas" - you'll love this movie. This is absolutely beautifull movie - photography, artwork, design, scenery and above all - screenplay. This is truely work of Terry Gilliam's "sick mind" (I hope people understand me clearly - it's a good thing!). I guess it's a movie, when Terry could make his movie from start, to the end, because... it's not Hollywood production.... Yes, you can shout; "there is no enought CGI!". But, what for? The movie is perfect!
I'd love to see Terry projects on Kickstarter or similar projects... Just because I'd like to pay him (see documentaries about Don Kichote production problems and especially history of "Brasil.
You have to see this movie. You have to comment. If you do not understand Brasil or Monty Python - just leave it, please.
Thank you, Terry! I'm waiting for another movie!
Poklosie (2012)
Sad, but true..
Good Day, I registered to IMDb for the first time, just for this title... This is very important moment of polish history and very important movie to understand this history. I must confess first that I'm from family very close connected to connected to WWII Underground Home Army in Warsaw. Is someone has something to say about ghettos in Warsaw and Nazi occupation, my family was part of it from creating opposition to lost life in Auschwitz. My uncle died in Auschwitz for being family of important man before 1939. He was 16 years old boy. Pole, not Jew. Whole my family was destined to die in Auschwitz, but managed to avoid it, except my young uncle... Back to movie. My family was in Warsaw, was in underground and... was helping Jews in Ghetto and I also have Jew family (and proud of it). It was very hard to believe that Jedwabne and similar facts happened, especially for my grand dad, but... Even thought he was victim of denunciation, he was also victim of small peasant communities; like Jedwabne. He had to pay to not be arrested by Gestapo and he had to pay with family precious relics and everything he had. Just because peasants knew who he was. And he had to eat. Probably we will never know how many people died because of mentality of people like in "Poklosie"... Creators of "Poklosie" including actors are "enemy of the state", but many people still remember who made money for deaths. Yes, I know, it's short and not important comment, but if you know how less popular version of polish history looked like - watch the movie. No, it was not always like this - this is why most Israelis has polish roots, but we should remember of German, French, Dutch, French, Russian and other people who helped Nazis just for money.
No comment. you just have to see this movie, no matter what you think. With Kind Regards, B. Radziszewski
